Apt 4: Montepulciano 800 yr old Monastery

Our self-catering accommodation is situated in an 800-year-old converted monastery called SANT ANTONIO, a short 5 minutes drive from the Renaissance town of Montepulciano, renowned for its Vino Nobile wines, restaurants, enotecas, art and culture. Our local area is a paradise for hikers, cyclists, joggers or simply walking through the incredible Tuscan country side that offers memorable sights of farmland, forests and rolling hills. The space Apartment 4 - Donatello, Donato de Bardi Donatello has the most history of all our rental accommodation at Sant' Antonio; centuries of monks and farmers have lived under this roof. The apartment: Maximum for 4 people 1st floor with various steps and staircases in the apartment 2 air-conditioned bedrooms and 1 bathroom (1 double bed in each room that cannot be changed into singles) Kitchen with views of the Valdichiana Dining room that seats 6 people Living room 1 bathroom 1 bathroom with views of the country side A garden table on the terrace, on the 1st floor at the entrance of the accommodation The apartment is situated on the 1st floor, up a flight of steps that leads from the gardens and lawns of Sant' Antonio to a shared terrace overlooking the forests, olive groves and gardens. This accommodation has a shared terrace but a reserved outdoor table "al fresco" by the entrance of the apartment. The entrance leads into the spacious dining room, furnished with eighteenth century oak wood furniture and a dining table that comfortably seats 6 people. Off the dining room is a kitchen with views of the Valdichiana and lakes in the distance. The dining room leads onto a second level, up a small flight of steps, into the lounge area and entrance of two separate double bedrooms, each with a double bed and air-conditioning. The views from the bedroom are of the forests, olive groves and rolling hills. The one bathroom situated off the lounge consisting of a toilet, shower, sink and bidet has wonderful views of the country farm lands, great to enjoy whilst taking a shower! All apartments are self-catering and furnished with linen, towels etc and kitchen utensils. Bath and bed linen is changed every 3/4 nights. For extra linen or towels changes, a supplementary charge will be applied. Accommodation rates include: - Free 24 hours internet / WIFI. - A private 3.4km running / walking track that winds through the olive grows, farmlands, rolling hills and oak forests with stunning breathtaking views behind each corner..... - Small grass football field and stretching / yoga area - 100-meter hill climb for extra running activities - Parking - Gardens and terraces - BBQ facilities - Gym (for over 18 years of age only, gym regulations apply) - Swimming pool (open in the summer from May to October) - Laundry room with washing machines available for all guests 24 hours per day PLEASE NOTE: Our facilities are for the use of our registered in-house guests only. Firewood: €5.00 per night for accommodations with a fireplace, if used only. NB: A tourist tax of €2.00 per person per day is not included in the accommodation rate and is to be settled when paying the final account. Guest access Sant Antonio has a private gate and underground garage for the use of our guests. Guests will be provided with a remote control during check-in. Accommodation includes free 24 hours internet connection / WIFI which is available around the pool (during the warmer months), terraces, gardens and accommodations. There is no charge for car parking or the use of our private 3.4km running / walking track that winds through the olive grows, farm lands, rolling hills and oak forests with stunning breathtaking views. All guests have free use of our Swimming pool during the summer season, small football field and BBQ's. Our accommodations are reserved exclusively for the private use of the registered guests staying in our accommodations in Montepulciano or at Sant Antonio in the countryside. The accommodation and all facilities provided are for the sole use of registered guests. Visitors who are not registered are not permitted on the property without prior approval. Private cookery courses, or similar activities in any of our accommodations may only be held with our prior written permission. Parties, load music or events are not permitted. Other things to note CHECK IN TIME: Kindly arrive in the afternoon between 3.00pm and 5.00pm The office and reception at Sant'Antonio closes at 6.00pm. Arrivals after 6.30pm are not possible. We thank you for your understanding. Some accommodations at Sant Antonio during the season are on a weekly basis with arrival on Saturday.
