Heavenworth Hideaway: in the woods - walk to town.

Heavenworth Hideaway is the entire ground floor of our family home, here in Leavenworth WA. We are just 1 mile from downtown Leavenworth! Just minutes from downtown, yet tucked in the quiet woods, Heavenworth Hideaway provides a restful space for you and your family/friends between adventures. The space is flooded with daylight and almost every window looks out onto striking mountain views. STR permit # 000943 The space This brightly lit ground floor of our handmade home is on 1.5 wooded acres tucked against expansive forests. It is a quiet neighborhood yet close to town. You will hear crickets chirping at night, birds singing in the morning and the breeze rustling the pines. Please note that this is where we live and we are providing space for you to relax in; we are not open to raucous parties in this space. This large bright space offers 9' tall ceilings throughout, radiant floor heat for the fall and winter chill. For shot summer months, pease note: there is *no A/C * in this home. Just open the windows at night to let the cool air in and shut them in the morning while it’s still cool—it’ll feel like you have A/C all day as the space is very well insulated and will keep the summer heat out. In case you're looking for a space to "work from home", we are well set up to accommodate you. Wifi is super fast at an average upload speed of 8.9 Mbps and download of 92 Mbps. Ping test results are 64 bytes. You'll have everything you need to sleep well, clean up in a full bath, and cook revitalizing meals. There is also a full washer and dryer in the apartment exclusively for guest's use. The beds are put together with luxurious 100% cotton sheets, fluffy down alternative duvets and pillows for that decadent vacation sleep. The full bathroom features a tiled shower and full bathtub combo as well as a toilet in a separate room. The kitchen is in a portion of the main living space. It offers a full range and oven for cooking, a toaster, pots, pans and the kitchen utensils you'll need for making simple meals. All the dishes, glassware, cutlery are there for your use. For your morning brew we provide organic French roast coffee and you’ll find a coffee maker, an instant hot water kettle for the french press or the provided tea bags and hot chocolate. Guest access You will have access to the first floor of our home with your own private entrance and your own outdoor patio. Also provided are 2 free parking spaces right next to the house. Other things to note VERY IMPORTANT: If you are booking in the winter, please note that the driveway is best suited for a 4x4 or AWD vehicle as our driveway has some incline to it as well as a hairpin turn. It is plowed after each snow storm so it won’t be deep but can get quite slippery; as all winter conditions tend to be. If you are booking in summer: there is no A/C in the home but will stay cool if you take the extra effort of opening windows at night and closing them in the morning before the heat of the day.
