The Parsonage was built in 1836 and restored between 2001 and 2010. There are 3 bedrooms on the second level with a large front porch featuring a table and rockers. The master bedroom has a queen bed with en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Guest room#1 has a queen bed with private sink that opens into a shared bathroom. Guestroom#2 (Loft) has a sleep number full sized bed with shared bathroom. The large guest bathroom includes walk-in shower and claw foot soaking tub. A washer and dryer are in a separate room. The main level of the house includes a parlor as well as a living room with television, stereo, couch, puzzles and books. The kitchen opens to the dining room/sun room and there is also a full bath centrally located on the first floor. The house was renovated following a fire so everything is new. Bathrooms are all ceramic tile and the kitchen has granite counter tops with an eat in table and a built in bar for gathering around. The kitchen contains everything you will need including basic pantry items. The back deck has a grill and there is a shed with bikes for your use to get around town even though everything is walking distance. The Wharf is only steps away where you can launch a boat at the public ramp or rent kayaks, padddle boards and bikes. The passenger ferry to Tangier Island also departs from there. If you have a boat there is so much to explore. Onancock Creek is about 4 miles long and opens up into the Chesapeake Bay which boasts pristine and secluded beaches all up and down the coast. If the ocean is your thing, Assateague National Park is about a 35 minute drive to the North. It is the closest beach with surf and easy parking. The town of Chincoteague is a fun day trip. The town of Onancock has a charm all its own. It has a small town feel where your kids can walk down the street and you don't have to worry about them. We keep this home as chemical free as possible. We use organic plant based cleaners with essential oils to cut down on allergies and chemical exposures. Currently, we are disinfecting with CDC approved cleaners.
