The historic house of 1608 is located on the outskirts of the Valais mountain village of Albinen, very sunny and quiet with wonderful views. Free parking and bus stop in 2 minutes walk. 5 km from the famous thermal spa town of Leukerbad. Professionally restored in 2002. They live on 2 floors (about 50 m2), connected by a relatively narrow staircase; each floor has its own entrance. The space The top floor in the slope of the roof. Entrance. Well-equipped kitchen (oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, coffee machine, fridge). Sideboard, DAB radio. Dining area Sofa (sofa bed). Swedish stove (fireplace). Shower and toilet. On the lower floor: living and sleeping. French bed (160 cm), sitting area, table, Giltstein oven (soapstone oven). Special: murals and beamed paintings (restored originals; the Giltstein stove should not be used, as the paintings could cause damage). Furnishings: new, high-quality furniture. On both floors: infrared radiators (for a comfortable temperature). Guest access Access: 2 minutes from the car park on foot down a natural stone path Other things to note History: Probably originally built by rich salt merchants, as storage. Later also used as a living-sleeping room and possibly as a chapel. However: reliable information about the house history is missing.
