Conesus Couple Mission

Welcome to St. Michael's Mission, circa 1924. Come, relax on 50 sprawling secluded acres which adjoins thousands of acres of public lands. (which no one seems to know about...) Enjoy splendid gorge hiking along the hemlocks to Hemlock Lake, a privatized & undeveloped finger lake. This castle on a hill was originally built as a live in seminary and so the guest rooms of varying sizes, most with full private baths. Your stay includes an eat in shared kitchen, outdoor grill etc. The space Generally speaking, this is a large facility with multiple wings and rooms. St. Michael's was originally built as a seminary, and so some parts have a dorm style feeling with large halls, classrooms, libraries, etc... There are seven kitchens throughout the facility and generally what we do is situate groups so that they are together and share common spaces among their group and couples and smaller groups get placed together in smaller halls with access to a shared kitchen. Bedrooms would have private baths however. Guest access This is a large facility, and while we enjoy hosting large groups, this listing is intended for the smaller groups that we can place wherever convenient in the facility. Groups of 8 or more should see our other listing and can book an entire floor or more delineated spaces. Please note there are RING cameras installed at main entrances which are automatically recording all visitors coming and going, (audio and video) During your stay Host is live on site daily to answer questions about the neighborhood, local attractions, and to help orient you about hiking and sharing these lands, yet knows when it's time to take a hike himself. =] Other things to note Please note that is a listing intended for couples, as such we typically consider accommodating larger groups. We will generally always provide the best placement or otherwise offer you the best spaces available depending on your needs and others in the buildings. At this time this facility has only recently been made available to the Airbnb community in an effort to support a mission and cause in which we are able to work towards preserving the timepiece that this property consists of in terms of it's history. It's certainly a unique property in many rights. This is to say that only because of recent endeavors to make this place available to guests, that there are many times whereby you're likely to be the only travelers here at the same given time as other groups, excepting major holidays of course, and some peak seasons.
