This 85 year old remodeled cabin is in Felton, close to Roaring Camp Railroad, Loch Lomond Rec Area, Henry Cowell's State Park, Mount Hermon Conference Center, Felton Covered Bridge Park. The Boardwalk and beaches of Santa Cruz are a 25 minute drive from the cabin. You will be deep in the heart of redwoods and ferns with sounds of a trinkling creek. A moonlit night in the hot tub tops it all off! Fun for couples, girlfriends getaways, writers, poets, solo adventurers, and families . NO PETS Tranquility Base is a 600 Sq ft cabin with high ceilings in every room except the bathroom. The bedroom has a queen bed, cable TV, private entry door as well as a door common to the house. The front bedroom has a queen bed, cable TV, skylight. The den has a queen bed, cable TV and a door that opens out into the hot tub yard. In the closets there are folding futons, roll-away bed, porta crib. The bathroom has a large, roomy shower, no bathtub. The front deck has a fire pit, kettle style BBQ, tables chairs, umbrellas. Around the back is the hot tub yard, accessible from inside or outside the house. Nestled among the redwoods, high above the street, you will enjoy total privacy and an amazing amount of quiet. There are 31 steps up from the parking area to the house level. There are no other houses on the property. Parking spaces for 2 cars is at street level on gravel shoulder of street by the stairs. Caretaker lives nearby, but not on the property. Tranquility Base is located in a quiet neighborhood near the end of the road. The creek runs alongside the road. The houses are rather far apart which gives privacy. Parking is at street level. In Felton town, a 15 minute drive from the cabin there is 24/7 Safeway, CVS, Round Table Pizza, Sushi San, nail salon, fine coffee roasters, donut shop, USA bank, Metro bus stop. Across the street is Felton Covered Bridge Park with picnic tables, a playground, a big grass play area, and the San Lorenzo river running under the tallest covered bridge in the United States. All along Hwy 9 there are more restaurants, shops and Wild Roots Market Organic Mkt, Rite Aid, Post Office, auto repair, liquor store, banks, the Big Foot Museum, Henry Cowell's State Park. Felton Music Hall. Cell phones do not work at the cabin. There is Comcast Wi-Fi which gives free long distance phone. There are 31 steps interspersed with two landings from the parking area to the houses level. No stairs inside the house.
