Willow Park guest house on an urban hobby farm.

The apartment is on one end of the workshop on our 6 acre hobby farm. It has a small, private, fenced yard. Parking is gravel drive and terrain is rough. We are in town, close to amenities, 2 miles from the lake. Feels like the country, with a braying donkey, crowing rooster, guard dogs and visits from our neighbor's goats. Lovely view of pecan trees, seasonal creek, and possibly animals as they roam. Kitchen is stocked with coffee, tea, sweeteners, creamer and cooking oil. Pet friendly. The space The space is a small open concept studio-style apartment on one end of our workshop. You have your own yard with privacy fence. There is a Queen bed in the bedroom area and a daybed with pull out trundle in the living area. There are TVs in the main area and bedroom area. The TV is equipped with Roku only (no local channels) . You can access your Netflix, You Tube TV, Hulu or Amazon account to watch your favorite shows. Wifi is also onsite. The private bathroom has a walk-in shower and a washer/dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a coffee maker, toaster, full size refrigerator, blender, crock pot, microwave and apartment-sized oven. We provide two towels per guest, one roll of toilet paper, travel sized toiletries and one detergent pod for the washing machine. There are bathrobes and slippers for your convenience, extra blankets and pillows, an iron and small table-top ironing board. The apartment is heated and cooled with two window units. We have a small space heater in winter months to help keep the bathroom toasty warm. Well behaved pets are OK. Pets must be attended and on/leash and should be kept off the furniture. We ask that you pick up your pet’s messes, just as you would in any public space. Pets can easily escape through gaps under the wood privacy fencing so please do NOT let your pets stay unattended in the yard. The property is non-smoking inside and outside. The setting is farm-like and peaceful, but is not quiet. We are quite close to the freeway so when outside you will hear traffic sounds. You will also hear farm animal noises, dogs barking and occasionally farm equipment such as tractors and mowers both from our farm and our neighbors. Lots of critters! We have two dogs on the property. They are kept in our fenced yard, or the fenced pasture areas, but will probably greet you at the fence if you arrive before dark. There are also chickens, a donkey, and beehives on the back acreage of our property. We keeping bees and are pesticide free, so you will encounter bugs of all kinds. Watch out for fire ants! You might see deer on the property, foxes, all kinds of birds and the occasional skunk or snake! If you want to roam, let us know in advance and we will put the dogs up for your safety . Guest access The property is self check-in. You will be provided with the key code a day or two before your stay. You will have access to the apartment and private yard. The parking is on gravel and there is no sidewalk leading to the space. Please be aware that you will be walking across an uneven grassy area to reach the front door. We clean using disinfecting products on sinks, toilets and showers, the handles and switches in the apartment.
