Boathouse experience on the Seneca Canal in Watkins Glen, NY. Beginning in 2021, the Anchor Room is allocated both floors of the front of the Pipe Dream Boathouse. This unit has 2 floors, 12 x 30 each. The first floor is a large kitchen, living room and laundry area. The 2nd floor is a bedroom and full bathroom. The rooms overlook the Pipe Dream boat slip. This is a working boathouse giving guests a fun, unique experience on the canal, yet close enough to walk to the park and town. The front of the boathouse has 2 floors, which are now fully allocated to the Anchor Room. The unit sleeps 4 to 6 (2 with pull out beds). The self contained unit includes a large bedroom and the first floor is a large room serving as living room, kitchen and laundry area. Board games available. Behind the boathouse are boat slips and a common waterfront area to relax and watch wildlife and passing boats. The property is surrounded by the water, a marina, wetlands and backs to the Catharine Trail and school athletic fields. This Camp is run by Dogged Perseverance, Inc with net proceeds benefiting animal rescue charities. We welcome dogs to join your getaway, and just ask that you clean up after them and adhere to leash laws. Kids are welcome, but please watch them as there are open docks over the water. The boat house includes a long interior slip for a 46' boat, and exterior slip. There could be activity on the boat and boat docks. To mark space, we installed a folding door across the dock near the stairs leading to the 2nd floor. The back boat house door is also lock with only a few knowing the code. The boat is not rented, and only used by people we personally know. The interior doors, including the 2nd floor bedroom area, have locks for your security comfort. The property includes plenty of parking. Guests are free to use the property, especially the common areas such as the large chart pit and seating area on the water front. The docks behind the middle boathouse are allocated to the other units. I'm generally in the area at my cottage, which is 5 miles up the western shore on Seneca Lake. If you are looking to join me in open water swimming, just let me know. My co hosts live local with their boat slip on the property. We are available, if needed, and if we take the Pipe Dream out then you are welcome to join us.
