It is here, at the confluence of Oughtershaw and Greenfield becks, that the River Wharfe starts its journey through Langstrothdale, into Upper Wharfedale and then continues to define one of the most celebrated dales. Right outside the door are memorable walking opportunities set amid breath-taking scenery, as well as private fly fishing nearby (trout, free of charge, Mar-Sep). The private, enclosed, dog friendly, west facing garden is a glorious sun trap on summer evenings, from where you can expect to see rare red squirrels and a variety of wildlife.
