Hike the Appalachian Trail! This is a cozy 3 bedroom, 1 bath, full basement and 3 acres of land. Located in town of Pawling, NY, about 90 minutes from NYC. Walking distance from Appalachian Trail train stop. Enjoy mother nature at it's finest with a short hike up historic Quaker Hill section of the Appalachian Trail. We accept up to 2 well behaved pets under 40 lbs. There is a $50 fee per pet. For companion and service dogs/pets, paperwork must be submitted before stay. This home has 3 bedrooms, with a newly remodeled bathroom, and kitchen. There is a washer and dryer in the basement. All bedding is new. Towels are provided. The yard itself is set on 3 acres, and is mostly covered in native forest. The trees around the house are filled with tree frogs, and there is plenty of room in the yard to stretch out and play some games. The property backs up to public lands, and the trail meets up with the Appalachian Trail. This section is called Hammersley Ridge. It is an excellent stopping point on the trail between Bear Mtn. and the Berkshires in Massachusetts. The whole property. We keep a security camera on the driveway. You can rest assured that we are maintaining a safe environment, while protecting your security. Note: camera does not point at the house. Please do not walk on retaining walls and stone walls (may cause injuries). Help is available with a phone call, but you should typically not need any help. Access information will be sent automatically a day ahead of check in. Pawling is a historic New England town set in Upstate New York. Popular times of year to book include the fall during the changing of the leave's colors, and summer, where the backyard meets up with the Appalachian Trail. You can actually walk to the home from the train stop. If you would like to get around the rest of the countryside, you will need a car. Hiking is right out the back door!
