Democrat, Mt. Bross, and Quandary Peak, all of which are popular 14er hikes. If you’re looking for a more leisurely hike, the Beaver Creek or Limber Grove Trails are close by. Additionally, Hoosier pass provides a mixture of remote backcountry options for the thrill seekers in your group or just a leisurely drive through sweeping views and curvy mountain roads. Those who enjoy fishing will be in paradise with nearby gold stream waters coined, “the dream stream”, while those looking for an overlanding/4x4 venture will find challenges abound from Mosquito Pass to Wheeler Lake to Breakneck Pass with gorgeous views and waterfalls. For a longer drive to Breck, you can travel offroad via Boreas Pass. For rock climbers in your group, Eleven Mile Canyon and Mt. Royal are accessible within an hour, offering a selection of sport and trad. climbing options. And finally, the Arkansas Valley will appease anyone's eagerness for rafting and kayaking. Be sure to check those resources, trail maps, and driving conditions to grab your ticket to adventure. After a day of recreation and exploration, you can pull up a chair for the beautiful nightly sunsets from the deck or enjoy a glass of wine by the wood-burning fireplace. Inside, you will be surrounded by modern amenities and restful charm. High-speed internet, Roku TV, WIFI, and DVD player allow you the revitalization you need after a full day of playing hard in the mountains (bring your own log ins). The wood burning fireplace is the focal point within the vast vaulted ceilings and exposed wooden beams. Specific County Rules Prohibits the following: -Campfires or use of portable outdoor charcoal grills -Fireplaces, or any other ember-producing equipment outside. -Shooting of weapons -Use of ATVs and other non- licensed vehicles on County roads. -No more than 6 guests (This is all our license allows), that is our approved occupancy, regardless of how many beds we have. -Outdoor Music Watch for wildlife, we have spotted Moose, bears, deer, bobcats, coyotes, and rabbits. Trash and food left outdoors will attract those critters, so be sure to use the bear proof cans. Compared to most areas nearby, Moose Tracks has good cell service with strong LTE signal from most carriers. We have had no problem streaming video calls for work. We also have good WIFI connection which can also support any streaming service. You will find a Roku TV in the living room (with a DVD player), Roku TV and Game console in one of the Queen bedrooms. We hope you'll spend much of your time enjoying our incredible landscape, but popcorn and a movie is also a great option. Our home sits at a higher elevation than Breckenridge and the surrounding towns--10,200 feet. Many people from out of town may become ill with altitude sickness, especially with alcohol consumption. When you go from low altitudes to high altitudes, your body needs to adjust to the change in oxygen levels. Before coming out, please do your research on altitude sickness and your health related to the condition. Making sure you are hydrated before and during your stay is also key, especially if you plan to be active.
