Enjoy our Green Gables Room, with a full-sized bed, located in the Sky and the Woods Ranchette, a charming farmhouse nestled in the Fort Dick area, a nature-lover's paradise, only minutes away from the beach, the redwoods, hiking, fishing, and more. The space Enjoy a getaway at our quaint and quiet family home in the lovely Fort Dick area. We are located only ten minutes from Crescent City and twenty minutes from Brookings, Oregon in a friendly farming community. Peace and tranquility abound on our pleasant 2 acre abode. The Green Gables room sits at the shaded front of the house with the sunset and porch swing visible from the front window. This room has charming farmhouse chic decor and a Victorian feel to it. There is a full-sized bed, small garden table and chairs, and a TV with Netflix. We have a nice patio and garden you're welcome to enjoy. You can also meet the guests of our mini ranch including our bunnies, goats, and chickens! We truly enjoy sharing our home and this beautiful area with you and we hope you will enjoy your stay! Guest access Our home is inviting and we offer two rooms (listed separately) with comfortable beds, two twins in one room and a full in the other. The rooms are comfortable and homey but nothing fancy. You are welcome to spend time feeding or playing with our animals which include chickens, bunnies, goats, and our silly doggies. You are provided limited kitchen access to heat any left over goodies from nearby or in town restaurants or enjoy a cup of tea while sitting on the porch swing of the large shaded front lawn. The bathroom is shared but if you are the only guest, you will have sole access to the bathroom. We offer a self-serve breakfast including cereal, bagels and toast along with hard-boiled eggs straight from our chicken coop or local farm, and coffee, tea, and juice. The room comes with a TV with Netflix on it if you're looking to wind down inside. Take a leisurely stroll through our pasture to see our goats or sit and relax in our gazebo and enjoy the garden and nearby pond. We truly enjoy sharing our home and this beautiful area with you and we hope you will enjoy your stay! During your stay We are most often present during your stay. Our living quarters and Ed's office are in the upstairs of the home so you'll have a good deal of privacy. We want you to feel relaxed and at home while staying with us so can interact with you as much as you'd like apart from check-in and brief conversation while you have your breakfast. Other things to note Just to reiterate, the bathroom is private unless another guest is staying in the room next door (listed under Calming Coastal Escape). On weekends and peak season (summer, spring break), it's likely both rooms could be occupied so please be aware bathroom would be shared in those circumstances. Also- we have pets including indoor dogs, they are sweet and friendly, we also have outdoor animals including chickens and goats. No smoking of any substance in the room. This includes marijuana. Please be considerate and choose a different listing if you wish to smoke.
