The space We offer easy self check-in, so you can arrive, settle in, and enjoy your getaway without waiting for a host. We respect your privacy and do not meet guests upon arrival unless you request it. We’re always happy to answer questions, offer local recommendations, and share some of the many exciting adventures waiting for you in our beautiful community and on Vancouver Island. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A PARTY PROPERTY. We ask all guests to respect the peaceful atmosphere, our neighbors, and other guests staying on the property. Holiday stays: If you’re visiting in November or December, you’re in for a treat! We decorate the property for the holidays — think Hallmark movie vibes! A few things to know There is another Airbnb cottage on the property, as well as an RV. We occasionally stay in the RV when guests are on site. The beach and wharf are shared by guests throughout the property. Breakfast & complimentary extras As part of your stay, our housekeeping team provides everything you need to enjoy a delicious waffle breakfast, including a waffle maker and syrup. You’ll also find: * Coffee & tea * Hot chocolate * Bottled & sparkling water * Pop Enjoy the outdoors We provide plenty of ways to enjoy Cowichan Lake, including: Kayaks Paddleboards Pedal boats Life jackets Firewood for the fire pit Propane for the BBQ Propane for the outdoor fire table The wharf and beach are shared spaces for all guests staying on the property. Come relax, explore, and enjoy the lake — and let us help you discover some of the lesser-known adventures and hidden gems that make our beautiful corner of Vancouver Island so special! Guest access Our property is one acre of pure lakeside bliss, surrounded by nature and the beauty of Cowichan Lake. It’s a peaceful place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy time together. There are two beautiful, private vacation cottages on the property, making it a wonderful option for extended families or groups traveling together. Want the whole place to yourselves? Rent both cottages and enjoy a family gathering or getaway together! Each cottage has its own private hot tub, giving you a relaxing space to unwind while still being close enough to enjoy the lake together. We also live on the property in a separate home. We respect your privacy and give you plenty of space to enjoy your stay, but we’re always available by message if you need anything or would like local recommendations. The beach and wharf are shared by everyone staying on the property, including guests from the other cottage. We simply ask everyone to be considerate and keep personal belongings organized so everyone can enjoy these beautiful shared spaces. Other things to note PETS — If You Are a Dog Owner Your dog(s) must be kept contained at all times either on a leash or on the deck using the supplied pet gates. We do not allow roaming free on the entire property for safety and respect! There are other guests staying on the property, and not everyone is comfortable around or enjoys dogs.
