Take a day to explore Beamish Open Air living museum and other days to explore Hadrian’s Wall (World Heritage Site), which was the north-west frontier of the Roman Empire for nearly 300 years. Nearby, the pretty village of Wylam has an multi-award winning CAMRA pub. The restaurant, only a few yards away, serves lovely food and is popular with villagers and visitors alike.
