Homesick? Only when you leave us. The Casa Nova estate at the foot of the medieval village of Chianni was completely redesigned and restored in 2016. It includes the main house Casa Nova Grande with 2 bedrooms. The smaller house Casa Piccola with 1 bedroom and a sofa bed can be booked in addition: €50/day. The houses include a spacious garden with a pool and car parking spaces. If necessary, the small house Casa Nova Piccola next door can be rented for an additional €50/day. Here, extra cleaning money (€40) is to be paid. Casa Nova GRANDE The main house has a total area of about 95 square meters. A small free-standing staircase leads to the bright and open living room, which typically includes the Tuscan kitchen and dining room. A large double door leads to the modern furnished terrace. A special attraction is the ceiling construction made of solid wooden beams, which spans the entire living area. In the rear part of the first floor is a double bedroom (1.60 m) and an attached ensuite shower room. From the living room, a staircase leads to the upper floor with the second bedroom (double bed 1.60 m) and an attached ensuite shower room as well as a small studio overlooking Volterra. The lovingly decorated interior of the house contains individual antiques from the 18th century. Of particular beauty are the tastefully restored lion couch and the bookcase with elegant carvings. The extendable dining table invites up to 8 people to dine. A special experience is the view of the medieval Castello of Chianni, which is very atmospherically illuminated in the evening. Amenities include a stove with oven, a large fridge with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave and other kitchen utensils such as a kettle and Nespresso coffee maker. In the living room, a satellite TV with DVD is installed, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the house, as well as air conditioning ("tutto compreso" equipment). Casa Nova PICCOLA On the opposite side of the open staircase is the smaller Casa Nova Piccola with just under 31 square meters and a pergola in front. The living room of the house with kitchen and dining area can be reached through the covered and furnished pergola (25 sqm). From the living room you can enter the bedroom with a double bed (1.60 m), a large wardrobe and an adjoining shower room. The couch in the living room can be pulled out to create two additional sleeping accommodations. In addition to the kitchen equipment (2-burner stove, fridge, Nespresso coffee maker and kettle), the equipment includes a satellite TV and also Wi-Fi and air conditioning throughout the house. GARDEN Both houses are located at the top of the property, connected via a decorative wall with an illuminated statue. Between the two houses is a cozy seating area, which is pleasantly shaded in the afternoon. Near the smaller house is a shady mulberry tree, the large house borders a lawn with a 200-year-old olive tree. The spacious and all-day sunny terrace is made of Tuscan natural stone tiles and connects to both houses. It extends to the pool (4.5 x 9 m) with the sun loungers and a couch group. Below the pool area are four parking spaces, flanked by olive trees. The entire property is fenced and planted with Mediterranean plants. The portal from the access road opens remotely. At night, the pool and the outdoor area can be illuminated and allow a romantic view of the nightly illuminated Castello. The cleaning of the houses must be paid in cash after the stay (€100/large house and €40/small house). Guest access All rooms are freely accessible and usable.
