Take advantage of easy in and out access from a main (paved!) road location in Jay. The Jay Way Chalet is spread over 2200 square feet of living space on two levels that can comfortably accommodate 11 people. Featuring two living areas, a completely remodeled kitchen, a wet bar, and work from home setup, there's something for everyone! The Jay Way Chalet provides four bedrooms (with an extra twin sized trundle bed in the game room) as well as three well-appointed baths. Enjoy two separate living areas, an upstairs loft perfect for reading on sunny days, and a newly renovated kitchen comfortable enough for both cooking and socializing. If you need to get some work done, enjoy our high-speed Comcast internet connection and dedicated workspace. If rest and relaxation are the name of your game - enjoy the Adirondack chairs and barbeque on the deck - perfect for viewing the Vermont sunsets and evenings. At the Jay Way Chalet, we invite you to enjoy an experience that blends modern conveniences with the slower pace of rural living. Enjoy the whole home (minus two locked rooms used for homeowner storage) during your stay. The Primary renter and guests will have full, dedicated use of the property for the duration of their stay, along with easy access to the property managers in case any questions or issues arise during your stay. There is plenty of parking in the driveway - no need to carpool to this property! We just ask that you leave room for the plow on those heavy pow days! Homeowners are responsive via text/phone for questions that arise, and are local to the area. Our guests can have as much (or little!) interaction with us as they'd like. Home is located on one of the main, paved routes in Jay, five minutes from "downtown" Jay, and ten-twelve minutes from Jay Peak parking lots. There is occasional road traffic, but as an added benefit, the main roadway is regularly paved during inclement conditions. For summer guests, there are wide shoulders on paved routes on both 105 and 242 for safe biking. No public transportation. Winter travel without all-wheel drive and snow-tires is highly discouraged. Hosts are not liable for with travel incidents/accidents associated with a vehicle that is not equipped for safely driving in winter conditions. Property owners do contract with a local plow service for driveway maintenance, but due to winter demands and conditions, owners cannot always pinpoint the timeframes at which plow service will be at property (though every effort is made to ensure plow pass before 9:30 am). All guests will be required to review and acknowledge a comprehensive rental agreement before booking is accepted. In addition, guests will be required to review and acknowledge any current COVID-19 travel restrictions both at the time of booking, and at the time of check-in.
