On the farm, the owner milks 130 organic dairy cows and make cheese from some of the milk. They also buy in sheep and goats milk to produce a range of Cairnsmore and Millairies cheese which are available to try in the farmshop. Home to some of the most beautiful and exotic gardens, the area benefits from a temperate climate due to the gulf stream, and is a paradise for nature lovers and birdwatchers. With the beautiful Galloway Forest Park and seven stanes close by, this is a popular area for walkers and cyclists of all abilities. Sea, river and loch fishing available in the surrounding area with sailing, watersports and golf in abundance. Wigtown, Scotland’s national book town and Whithorn’s historic dig and priory all nearby, while Newton Stewart has a good range of shops, pubs, eateries, cinema and swimming pool.
