Heartland Ranch is a short distance south of Topeka. Heartland Ranch, is quiet and private. We offer a unique country stay. This lodging is a cowboy bunkhouse with "down-home comfort" in a casual country setting. This is not a "Disney" experience and frankly the farm "stay" isn't for everyone! Heartland Ranch is very easy to find on GPS - listed address is 3201 SW 93rd St, Wakarusa, KS 66546. We provide coffee/Tea service with breakfast snacks. Anything special you may need, please don't hesitate to ask. Parking is right besides the entrance to the Ranch bunkhouse. The bunkhouse has a studio apartment with the queen sized bed in the common area. The apartment can be closed off from the other bunkhouse bedrooms with a door between the two areas. There are separate bathrooms for each sleeping space. This works out for family groups of 6 people, as well as working groups for privacy and yet plenty of "together" times with the dining and kitchen area being conveniently located. Our place is "retro rustic" but comfy. This is a bunkhouse, used over the years as a "horse hotel and cowboy bunkhouse" by people hauling horses to events and cowboys on the way to a rodeo. Please observe the maximum occupancy. The lodging has an entry from the front porch. It has direct access to the kitchen and a small private shower bathroom. Down the hallway are 2 additional bedrooms with 6 single bunk beds with a full bathroom tub/shower. The bunk bed area has its own entry door as well and can function as a space independently from the common area. There are 4 steps up to the porch with sturdy railings for safe access. I like to meet and get guests settled in their space. This location is not suitable for infants, toddlers or anyone with physical limitations. If the guests have pets, it is suggested that a kennel be used for their space inside the cabin. No pet is allowed to be unattended by the owner at any time. Guests are on their own to enjoy the quiet countryside at their own pace. Horseback riding is not available to anyone. The Main Ranch house is separated from the bunkhouse lodging by a driveway, parking and paddocks. Be aware that there are risks involved with animals. Take precaution when approaching an animal that does not know you (including dogs, cats and large domestic animals). Please note, there is only space for 4 people in this building. I do not allow parties or extra people to stay. Your visit is as stated on the reservation number of guests and dates made through Airbnb. Our neighborhood is friendly down-home rural Americana. The capital city of Topeka, Kansas is a friendly town of 140,000 with it's share of attractions and cultural events. We have hosted many overnight horse-travelers from all over the country as a layover for people traveling to horse shows and campgrounds throughout the USA. This is not a dude ranch.
