Heartland Ranch, near Topeka, Kansas

Heartland Ranch is a short distance south of Topeka, We offer a unique quiet/private country stay. The lodging is a cowboy bunkhouse with "down-home comfort" casual country setting. We invite anyone who is "cowboy curious". This is not a "Disney" experience... frankly the farm "stay" isn't for everyone! Occupancy limited to online reservation. Be sure to review Kansas Laws for alcohol age use or illegal drugs list. No firearms are allowed on the Heartland Ranch property. The space Heartland Ranch is very easy to find on GPS - listed address is 3201 SW 93rd St, Wakarusa, KS 66546. We provide coffee/Tea service with breakfast snacks. Anything special you may need, please don't hesitate to ask. Parking is right besides the entrance to the Ranch bunkhouse. The bunkhouse has a studio apartment with the queen sized bed in the common area. The apartment can be closed off from the other bunkhouse bedrooms with a door between the two areas. There are separate bathrooms for each sleeping space. This works out for family groups of 6 people, as well as working groups for privacy and yet plenty of "together" times with the dining and kitchen area being conveniently located. Our place is "retro rustic" but comfy. This is a bunkhouse, used over the years as a "horse hotel and cowboy bunkhouse" by people hauling horses to events and cowboys on the way to a rodeo. Please observe the maximum occupancy. Guest access The lodging has an entry from the front porch. It has direct access to the kitchen and a small private shower bathroom. Down the hallway are 2 additional bedrooms with 6 single bunk beds with a full bathroom tub/shower. The bunk bed area has its own entry door as well and can function as a space independently from the common area. There are 4 steps up to the porch with sturdy railings for safe access. Other things to note Heartland Ranch has been a working horse and cattle operation for many years. Now retired, we have hosted overnight horse-travelers from all over the country as a layover and stabling for people traveling to horse shows and campgrounds throughout the USA. It's not a dude ranch, but we invite anyone who is "cowboy curious"! In Kansas, there is dust, insects, wild animals and wind with cold weather and so be able to tolerate these circumstances with joy!
