For wine enthusiasts, the region boasts 26 wineries, with in our minds, Neudorf standing out for its exceptional Pinot Noir and inviting cellar door experience. Culinary delights abound, starting just down the hill by the sea with the Boat Shed (more formal) and the Boat House (relaxed -often with music), both offering over-water dining. They are both a mere four-minute drive away along with recommended Nahm for Thai cuisine. In the city center, Hopgoods is our top pick, followed closely by recently acclaimed Urban Oyster. Considering Nelson, the winery restaurants, Mapua, Richmond, you could discover a new dining experience daily for a couple of months.
