The greatest amenity this cabin offers is our neighbor — the national forest. If you're looking to get out into nature but prefer not to rough it, you're in luck. The cabin is situated on a ridge overlooking the gorgeous mountain scenery and an expanse of pristine, unspoiled forest for you to explore, but without giving up all the comforts and conveniences of modern life. Here you can enjoy the best of both worlds! The space This place offers an ideal getaway for couples, a group of friends, or a small family. There's a king bed upstairs and a twin bed downstairs. Upstairs there are also two couches for watching tv. The remodeled cabin is loaded with rustic charm, but has all the modern amenities you could hope for — a new kitchen, thermostat controlled heating and AC, super fast wifi. And the hot tub is awesome! If you want to wake up surrounded by the beauty of nature you will love it here. Guest access If you want to go into town center it's about 4 miles. Takes less than 10 minutes to drive. There's also a convenience store within walking distance. Other things to note The Cabin Cat... There is also a cat who has made his home outdoors at this and one of the other neighboring cabins. When he first showed up in June of 2020, our original idea was to find him a permanent home. But as he seemed so happy where he was, we decided to give him a cat door into a storage room which is heated and get him an automatic pet feeder and water dispenser — and he hasn't left since. He's very friendly and seems to enjoy the flow of new humans to play with. He enjoys attention and likes being petted, but please don't invite him inside the cabin as it's just not workable to have an indoor/outdoor cat in a vacation cabin situation. Travel Insurance Airbnb now offers travel insurance for guests! This is great news particularly if you need to cancel or alter your reservation due to illness or injury. I recommend you consider this option as I will be unable to issue refunds for canceled dates for reasons which are not covered under Airbnb's Extenuating Circumstances Policy. Unfortunately, there are no policies I'm aware of which provide coverage for personal reasons such as schedule conflicts. Date Change Requests If you would like to alter the dates of your stay within 30 days of your reservation, the cancelation policy will apply. If you still decide to alter your reservation, I may be able to offer you a full or partial refund for any canceled dates that I am able to re-rent.
