I just remodeled the 1450sq' house making it handicap accessible. The entry and all main floor doors are 36" in width. There is a ramp leading to the front deck for easier access. One bathroom has a 5' shower stall with grab rails. It has both a fixed and hand held shower head for your convenience. i also have 2 other homes and a campground. 1 house and the campground are on a lake nearby. the campground is secluded with large sites, all full hook ups. click on my profile to find these listing open all year. This is the perfect location to enjoy whatever outdoor activity you want to pursue. The house and garage are nestled nicely on a 1 3/4 acre wooded lot in an area surrounded by forest and lakes. The house is located on a paved county maintained road that is plowed in the winter, but is near the end of the pavement where it turns to gravel. The gravel leads to an orv/snowmobile trailhead app. 1/2 mile down the road. In this county you can ride your orvs on the shoulders of the road to get anywhere you care to go. The house has lake access to beautiful Oak Lake with a nice sandy beach, available only to property owners, not the public. It is quiet, and great for paddle boarding/kayaking, floating on a tube, or fishing if you're so inclined. . If you want to jetski or power boat the Lewiston area has many larger lakes with public access within 5 miles. Garland golf course is 1 and a 1/2 miles away. There is a large amount of state land surrounding the area if you care to hike or hunt. The Au Sable River is approximately 15 miles from the house if you like to fly fish or float the river by whatever means you have. In the back yard there is a nice fire pit to enjoy in the evenings, listening to the wildlife and watching the stars. There is no light pollution nearby. In the back of the house there is a large deck with patio furniture and a grill. In the front of the house there is a smaller deck shaded by pine trees with a ramp for persons requiring an easier way than steps to get into the house. The house feels warm and welcoming with many windows and a sliding door to the rear deck to allow a great view and let in lots of sunshine. There are 2 sets of lights on the main floor to fit your mood, either lower, warm light for relaxing, or bright lights for visiting, playing cards. The living room is very cozy with 2 couches, a 55" smart tv, high speed internet and Dish TV. The kitchen has all the appliances you need for your stay as well as pots and pans, dishes and yes, the all important coffee pot:).The dining area has a beautiful old wooden table and chairs. The bathrooms have been remodeled to make them comfortable for you. There is a brand new washer and dryer if you need them. There are also board games and cards if you want to stay in and enjoy each others company. There are 3 bedrooms, 1 on the main floor and 2 upstairs. The main floor bedroom has 1 queen bed and plenty of room to move around. There are dressers and nightstands and a closet. At the top of the stairs is a nice cozy alcove with a comfortable chair and a rocker and a round table to sit and talk or read. One bedroom has a queen bed and 2 fulls, dressers and a closet. The other has a queen, a full and a twin, dressers and a closet. The rooms are quite large and even with all the furniture you still have plenty of room to move around without feeling claustrophobic. The house has central heating and a/c so all rooms are comfortable. it has lake access to oak lake which is located 1/2 mile west of the house. The entire home and garage are yours for your stay. enjoy. Either I, or a responsible person will always be available for you to contact. I have to say, that in this area there are some places that cell phone reception is spotty, so if you call and get voicemail, please leave a message so when I get back into reception I can contact you. What makes this area special is that you can enjoy any activity you want, or you can sit back and put your feet up. This area has a rich history of logging and the Steiner Museum near Comins offers an excellent peek at that era and is only 30 minutes away, and the drive is beautiful as well. There are numerous lakes, large and small within 10 miles of the location for any use you may have. The area is comprised of a large percentage of state land for recreation. You can ride your orvs or snowmobiles on the shoulders of the county roads. last, but not least, its beautiful. There are a lot of lakes in the area, large and small to accommodate any water activity you enjoy. orv, sxs, snowmobile, you name it and you can do it here. I can only offer this driving tip. slow down, put your phone away, look around and enjoy the beauty you came to see. there are inflatable chairs and tubes in the garage and an electric pump to inflate them, also an extra fridge if you need the extra space. because of the length of time it takes to clean the entire house and the extra cleaning materials required i needed to raise the cleaning fee to$ 110.
