Cosy, comfortable historic rural cottage located in Loch Lomond National Park The space This traditional Scottish stone But'n' Ben cottage offers you a unique chance to stay in an iconic local landmark with a 300 year history ! Newly refurbished the cottage has a fresh, modern cottage ambience especially with the original stone fireplaces and a wood burning stove in the lounge. The cottage has its own grassy garden area with outdoor seating, BBQ and a view east towards the Kilpatrick Hills. The Cottage enjoys the early morning sun and views of the evening sun reflected on the hills & trees. Crosskeys cottage is all at ground floor level with wooden floors throughout and heated by electric thermostatic radiators and a wood burning stove in the lounge. It comprises of an open plan kitchen/lounge area with comfortable seating and a dining table. The bedroom has a king size bed and an en-suite bathroom with separate shower and spa bath. The cottage has an enclosed garden which includes a seating area and BBQ (coals not included). There is parking for 2 cars in a shared courtyard, which has a small stream running along it's boundary. You are welcome to bring your dogs. (Max 2) Set within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, Crosskeys sits at the head of Glen Fruin, just 2 miles from Loch Lomond. Whatever your interests, Crosskeys has something for everyone. Amazing scenery, good road links to local amenities in Helensburgh, Balloch, and Dumbarton and further afield for exploring the National Park, Stirling and the Trossachs or the west coast of Scotland. There are numerous places to visit whether it is historic venues, fantastic scenery or partaking in outdoor pursuits such as walking, cycling, climbing, bird watching, canoeing, sailing, golf, skiing, both winter or summer. Located next to the cycle path (Loch Lomond 2 miles and Helensburgh 3 miles) at the foot of the glen, there is fresh air in abundance!
