An island retreat, ideal for nature-loving couples. A very private sleeping cabin on the point of an island with a private deck, swimming dock & canoe. Located in BAYFIELD INLET in the magical Archipelago of Georgian Bay, enjoy the comforts of modern life in the remote beauty of unspoiled nature. Windswept white pines, glistening bedrock & fabulous sunsets/sunrises. Get away from it all & recharge in nature. ***NOTE: Parking & boat transportation to island are included in the fee.*** The space This is truly a remote island, perfect for experiencing the beauty of nature. Activities include swimming in the pristine water, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, photography, reading, sleeping in the hammock and star gazing. THE NORTH CABIN The North Cabin is a rustic, double A-Frame sleeping cabin. Bright and airy, it sits on the point of a peninsula with beautiful views to the north and east - you can watch the sunrise from your bed. It also has a wood-burning fireplace and a skylight. The front door leads to a very private zone, with your own deck and dock, a pair of Muskoka chairs and a campfire spot. The back door faces the courtyard in the centre of the island which connects to the main cabin. THE MAIN CABIN IS ACCESSIBLE TO GUESTS 24 HOURS A DAY. The Main cabin is the communal space located in the centre of the island, a short 50 steps from the North Cabin. This rustic A-Frame was built by hand in the 1950's and has the amenities of modern life. There is a kitchen (with 2 fridges), a 4-piece bathroom, a screened-in dining area, patio deck, living room and laundry facilities. There is a monitor in the living room for video/DVD viewing & a sound system. There is good cellular reception on the island. We recently added a second sleeping cabin for friends and family of our North Cabin Guests. Available on request. Your hosts have their own private sleeping cabin and living zone. Blueberry picking time is late July into August. There are only a few neighbouring cottages in the area, all at a distance, so it is very quiet and peaceful. Guest access North Cabin guests have access to the Main Cabin on the island. It has a fully equipped kitchen, living room , 4 piece bathroom, dining room and laundry. Located 50 paces from the North Cabin, accessible 24 hours a day. Other things to note Skinny dipping is welcomed in the private bay.
