From your doorstep there are meadows, fields and woodland for great walks, cycle routes and nature trails. Close by lies the 47,000 acres of Thetford Forest with High Lodge recreational site and, for adrenaline-junkies, there’s the Go Ape tree-top adventure. City lovers can explore the medieval city of Norwich with its imposing Norman castle; Kings Lynn and its fascinating Hanseatic Quarter; Ely with its magnificent cathedral the ’Ship of the Fens’; the university city of Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds with its famous abbey. Coast lovers can be at the spectacular North Norfolk coast in less than an hour. Here you will find lots of pretty coastal villages and towns with wide sandy or shingle beaches, bustling quays and wild marshes all waiting to be explored, and where you can enjoy delicious food and drink.
