Welcome to the home of the World Famous Honkey the Donkey! Our home is located on 25 acres, and is home our pet miniature donkey, Honkey, as well as goats, dogs, barn kitties, and horse companions that all LOVE to meet new people! You can also get your fill of all the local wineries, breweries, and scenery the hill country has to offer. If you are looking for a place to unwind, take in the beauty of the hill country, and still be within 45 minutes of downtown Austin, this is the place for you! You have access to approximately 24 acres of our property. The home has wifi, satellite tv, full kitchen, a loft (with queen mattress), 1 bedroom, and 1 bathroom. In addition to the animals outside, there is a firepit, charcoal grill, hammocks for stargazing, cornhole, and sitting areas where you can take in the beautiful hill country. There is a main house situated on roughly 1 acre of the property and includes a pool. You do not have access to the pool or main house area, but it is available for rent through Airbnb as well. It sleeps 12. We do have pool access available next door to the property from 10AM-6PM. You must contact us to get access. There are lots of animals on the property that include Honkey the Donkey, his new companion, Daisy Donkey, pygmy and boar goats, Jessie the horse, and Honey the Horse. Please note, this home is our sole source of income. Several properties in our area have been targeted recently by large groups coming and throwing 300-500 people parties, but stating their intentions are otherwise. The properties have been destroyed. While all of our guests to this point have been nothing short of delightful, we must state the following to ensure our family is not without this source of income. We do not allow offsite guests without prior approval. Should you stay at our place and violate any of the house rules, which includes exceeding the maximum amount of allowable guests for your stay, you will be subject to immediate removal by local law enforcement. We, as well as Airbnb, reserve the right to pursue litigation to recoup any loss and/or damages as a result of your violation of the house rules. Quiet time/noise reduction begins at 9PM CST. All music and/or other loud devices must be turned off by this time. By booking our place, you agree to be bound by these terms, as well as agree that violation of the house rules or Airbnb guidelines makes your short term rental contract null and void immediately. Thank you for understanding the need for us to add this statement and we hope it does not deter the majority of potential renters that have nothing but good intentions. We have poured our heart and soul into this home want to keep it in the best condition possible for all current and future guests. The home is situated on 25 acres where you can hike and take in the beauty the hill country has to offer. Our animals are super friendly and love to interact with our guests. We are within driving distance of Austin (45 mins to downtown), and within 10-20 minutes of countless wineries and breweries. If you prefer boutique and town square shopping, Wimberley Town Square is a mere 25 minutes away. We offer keypad entry, so you can come and go as needed without having to worry about keys. There is a main house with pool on the property that is also available for rental that sleeps 12. We have additional cabins on the property suited to house 2-4 guests. Please feel free to inquire about their availability as well. We are about 4 miles from downtown Dripping Springs, 25 minutes from downtown Wimberley, and 45 minutes from downtown Austin. Uber is available as well as limo service and bus tours for any of the above, as well as for wine tours. Uber, Taxi, and Limo service are available. Party Bus wine tours are available as well.
