Magnolia Sands is a beautiful vacation oasis on the coast of Waveland, Mississippi. It features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, sleeping 8 guests (4 adults max, 6 children max, the bedrooms feature 2 queen sized beds and 2 bunk beds.), a spacious living room and kitchen, laundry room and a large front porch with a partial view of the gulf. It's coastal theme will set your mind adrift as you relax and enjoy your time in Waveland. We do require a rental agreement and $400 security hold (not a ch The golf cart and electric lift (elevator) are not accessible to guests due to insurance and liability. There is a local golf cart rental company that previous guests have used and enjoyed. Waveland became a city in 1970 due to it’s increase in population. It’s creation was due to the railroad and it’s proximity to New Orleans. Waveland is a resort town to many New Orleans residents, whom many have built summer homes here. Today, Waveland is the only city on the Gulf Coast to prohibit commercial buildings on the beachfront. The Veteran’s Monument is at the foot of Coleman Avenue. Next to the monument is Garfield Ladner Pier, built of concrete, extending 860 feet into the Bay of St. Louis. It is used by fisherman from dawn until dusk and is handicapped accessible. There are picnic pavilions for all to enjoy. A bike/walking track along Beach Blvd stretches from Waveland to the Bay St. Louis Bridge. Many annual festivals have since been created, such as the Trunk or Treat, Wave Fest, St. Patricks Day Parade, Mardi Gras Parades, and the Festival of Lights. The Bay-Waveland Yacht Club was incorporated in 1921 and is still in operation today. The 2019 census list the population of Waveland at 6302. There are outdoor security cameras for safety. No cameras invade private spaces. No cameras are indoors.
