Cape Hatteras, NC is a world famous location for kiteboarding (also for surfing and windsurfing) known for its consistent wind, waves and miles upon miles of secluded beaches. The Pamlico Sound is one of the top spots to learn to kiteboard in the world because of the sandbar that creates the protected waist deep water just perfect for beginners. We first got our start here on Hatteras Island teaching kiteboarding lessons, and soon after we began offering accommodations for our students who wanted more amenities and personal connection than a standard hotel room can offer. Our kiteboarding instructors are some of the best on the Island and are accredited by IKO (International KIteboarding Organization). We offer SUP rentals and beginner lessons at a discount to our guests. For more experienced Stand Up Paddleboarders we offer SURF SUP lessons by our ASI (Academy Surf International) accredited Instructor. : : : HOUSE LAYOUT : : : The layout of Kite Club Hatteras is all on one level and is one side of a duplex. It has two large covered decks in the front and back which are perfect for catching morning/evening sunshine and offer plenty of shade in the middle of the day. The common area includes the open kitchen and living area. There is a wood burning fireplace, a wet bar and a fully equipped modern kitchen with an eat-in breakfast bar island in the center. On either side of the common room are two bedrooms which are joined by a Jack and Jill bathroom which is shared by the two rooms. There is also a half bathroom off the common area.
