Other things to note Conveniently located: - only 2 min from the turnoff to Cape Reinga - 10 min from Lake Ngatu and the Waipapakauri Ramp access onto 90 Mile Beach - 10 min to Karikari Peninsula which has several beautiful white sandy beaches, Carrington Estate Winery & Golf Course and Rotopokaka (Coca Cola) Lake - 15min from Taipa Beach & boat ramp, Taipa Resort Restaurant and Doubtless Bay, continue along the stunning coast line through Cable Bay & Coopers Beach to Mangonui Township with a variety of restaurants and cafes and the famous Mangonui Fish Shop built out over the water - 10 min to Kaitaia which has restaurants and a movie theatre - 2 minutes from Awanui Township which has a fish & chip shop, cafe, bakery, superette, BP petrol station, a newly renovated pub which serves light meals and often has live music and is a pickup location for bus tours up 90 Mile Beach to Cape Reinga.
