This PRIVATE ROOM is in the basement of our SOLAR POWERED home in Powelton village. NOTE: basement ceiling is only 79" high. The stairs to the basement is narrow (only 23" wide). The last 5 landings have low overhead clearance (see photos). The window is LED-back lit, for decoration only, cannot be opened.This room can accommodate 2 persons. The common spaces (living-room, kitchen, bathroom) will be shared with other guests. The closest bathroom is on the ground floor which is above your room. Reservations at our house are preferentially given to our medical/professional guests who need either a quiet environment to study for their board exams or to relax and prepare for the interviews. Instruction on how to gain access to the house and the bedroom will be visible on the Airbnb app on the day of your check-in. Guest can have as much or as little interactions with us as they prefer. We live in this house as well so if there is any thing that we can provide to make your stay more enjoyable, please let us know Very quiet and SAFE neighborhood in Powelton village. There is a police station a couple houses down the street which make our neighborhood one of the safest in the city. They patrol the area 24/7. UCD police also patrol Upenn and surrounding area. They can provide FREE escort service if requested. 40th&Market subway station (MFL line) connecting West Philly and Center city is located a few blocks away. It take approximately 5 min from our house to the subway. Alternatively, there is a trolley station @ Lancaster Av & Spring Garden St located 1 min away from our house. 1./ STRICTLY A SMOKE FREE HOME. Please do NOT smoke within 25 feet of the main entrance (including e-cigarette, chewing tobacco , weeds, vaping ...) 2./ We don't wear shoes in the house. REMOVE YOUR SHOES at the entrance, you can leave the SHOES on the SHOES RACK. 3./ NO OUTSIDE VISITORS allowed (only the people on the reservation may enter the house) . 4./ Our QUIET HOURS from 10 PM to 7 AM. The kitchen amenities will be limited during those hours. (Stove & oven will be OFF).
