The large garden invites you to barbecue with a cozy lounge. Perfect location for exciting excursions The small village of Veitriedhausen is the ideal starting point for numerous excursions. In the immediate vicinity, Legoland, the Steiff Museum and many exciting nature experiences await you. For hikers and cyclists, a true paradise opens up – right outside the door begins the Weichselallee along the idyllic Pfannental valley. There is also plenty to discover for those interested in culture – from medieval cities such as Günzburg and Nördlingen to the caves in the region. A break from everyday life - but not from the comfort zone The "Haus der Weichsel" offers 3 bedrooms, a cozy living room, a well-equipped living-dining kitchen and a modern bathroom with sauna, the perfect setting for relaxing days. Whether for a short break over the weekend or a longer vacation – here you can completely retreat and leave everyday life behind. The sauna in the bathroom area is free of charge. What does "Haus der Weichsel" mean? The Weichsel is a sour cherry and comes from the district of Dillingen. In 1807, this variety was mentioned by name for the first time. The sour cherry with its wonderful fruity acidity and delicious aroma has inspired the people in the district for many decades. The vacation home is located in a village with a sour cherry tree avenue. Check out our videos that Bavarian television has shot about my passion for the sour cherry. Ground floor Kitchen: The fully equipped kitchen invites you to cook and linger. Ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee machine, kettle and other appliances as well as cooking utensils and dishes are provided. So that you can start your vacation without much stress, we have already provided spices, sugar, vinegar and oil and coffee for the beginning. A table with seating for 7 people completes the kitchen. Living room: The living room in the style of the 1930s is inviting for a cozy TV and movie evening. An interesting selection of books is at your disposal. Toilet: A large toilet with plenty of space. The toilet has a large hand sink. Toilet paper is available for the first few days. Bathroom with shower and sauna: In the completely renovated bathroom there is a large floor-level shower (1.60 x 0.80 m) and a sauna for 2-3 people. For relaxation, the sauna is freely available for your use. Please only turn on the sauna if it is used. Double sink and hairdryer are available. There is also a washing machine in the bathroom free for your use. Towels are provided. As a second bathroom without a shower, the separate toilet with a large hand washbasin and storage facilities can be used. Bedroom I: On the ground floor is a picturesque bedroom with a modern solid wood double bed (1.80 x 2.00 m). The mattresses in this bed are a little harder. In the bedroom there is a small dressing room and a desk with a chair. Upper floor Bedroom II: The stairs lead to the upper floor. The bedroom is decorated in the colors of the 1930s. Two single beds with extra length (90 x 210 cm) and a small sofa invite you to read and linger. Bedroom III: A room that will delight children. With a bunk bed, your child will also be delighted. The stable bed is also ideally suited for adults. Upstairs is a soft mattress (90 x 200 cm). Directly below is space for 2 adults (1.40 x 2.00 m). Another single bed (90 x 200 cm) can also be used as a sofa. In the Haus der Weichsel, there is always something to discover about the sour cherry "Swabian wine sour cherry". There is also a cot available for a baby. Large garden with barbecue and relaxation The garden was newly landscaped with a large terrace. A barbecue area is at your disposal. The garage has been rebuilt. Thus, even in cooler weather or in the rain, you have the opportunity to grill and eat in the dry. A cozy lounge pampers your time for good conversations. (Lounge open March-November) Other Available: washing machine, drying rack, cleaning agent, vacuum cleaner is available. The beds are already freshly made.
