We are located high on Mott hill in the center of the island. It's about 2 miles to both harbors. There are lots of hiking trails nearby. We are located near the island airport so small private planes come and go during the day but it is usually very quiet at night. Many of our guests say watching the planes is one of their favorite things. This spot is ideal for visitors who like to retreat to a quieter space at the end of a long day at the beach or an evening on the town. This space is 100% private with private entrance and a full private bath. There is a bedroom with a queen bed, a little living room. The entire space is all yours. It does not include a full kitchen, but there is a small fridge and a coffee maker. We do provide a few snacks and everything you need for making coffee and tea. All linens and towels are provided for you. With your space there are also beach towels and beach chairs for you to use. Please note that this space has a two person max. In addition to your private space inside the house, there is also plenty of outdoor yard space for games and relaxing as well as an outdoor patio. There is parking on the property. The Block Island Ferry requires reservations if planning on bringing a car. We recommend a vehicle if staying more than 2 nights. If you aren't bringing vehicle, there are moped and bike and car rentals, as well as taxis almost always available. We live on the property so are available anytime. We like to give our guests space but are happy to chat if they like. Our level of interaction is completely up to our guests. Block Island pretty much speaks for itself as a magical place to explore. We are located outside of town so it's a bit more peaceful than being right in town. There are lots of trails and nature walks close to our property. Our central location makes our space close to everything. You can head to town for shopping and nightlife or head in a different direction for a quiet beach away from towns hustle and bustle. There are many hiking trails minutes away from your door. Block island is a great place to explore by bicycle as well. There are car, bike and moped rentals in town. If you plan to bring a car, be sure and book a reservation well in advance. We find it's a value to bring your vehicle if staying more than two nights. Taxis are also available and cost about $12 - $14 depending on your destination.
