Wait! no, imagine yourself in a fantastic boutique hotel bedroom with vibrant colours and luxurious fabrics, tucked up in your kingsize bed, goose down quilt and quality bedding... No! wait a minute, I see you relaxing on the white, corner leather sofa in the high ceiling Victorian living room reading a good book, some music or TV, a glass of your favourite tipple and your feet up under a huge throw! The space On the first floor above a popular village pub (can be noisy in the evenings), this spacious property has a distinct Victorian feel as it was built in the 1800's and is mixed with modern and vintage/retro style furnishings. Guest access It is important to note that you will need to confirm your time of arrival at booking as you will not be able to access the apartment when the pub is closed unless we know the time of your arrival as you will be met at the pub for key handover. This is a self contained 1st floor accomodation with access to the washing machine on the ground floor to the left of the stairs. This self contained apartment is above a popular village pub and can be noisy in the evenings particularly when there is a private function on or they have a band playing. In the warmer weather, both the beer garden and inside can get busy. From the carpark at the back of the property, access is via the beer garden, then through the back door that takes you into the pub. Other things to note This self contained apartment is above a popular village pub. The beer garden and inside can get busy and noisy which you may be able to hear in the flat particularly if they have any live music or private party bookings in the evenings or if it’s just a busy night. As guests, you can either hide away upstairs or be part of the atmosphere of what might be going on at the Pub. Pub closes at 11pm Monday - Thursday with Friday and Saturday evenings generally busier although Thursdays are quite busy at the moment. Please be advised to expect noise from downstairs when you’re in the flat. This pub does not serve food from inside (although they are known to do a delicious cob if you're hungry). On certain days there are street food vendors that set up in the car park and it’s best to follow The Man Within Compass on social media to find out what’s planned...there’s always a reliable takeaway or two that deliver too. Guests in the flat are not allowed to consume alcohol or other food and refreshments anywhere else on the property other than within the flat itself. The grounds outside including seating area are for the use of paying customers at the pub only. From the carpark at the back of the property, access is via the beer garden which in warm weather when the pub is open, this area may be busy. Access to the apartment is through the back door that takes you into the pub. Whilst we accept service pets, please inform us prior to booking if you have a service pet and please remember that you will need to climb a flight of stairs to access the apartment. Please note guests are not to bring for their own use, heavy use electrical items such as fan or halogen heaters, rice makers, deep fat dryers, air fryers or other electrical cooking items as they have significant power consumption. Meters are checked before and after each booking and should the meter indicated over and above expected levels of use which would suggest additional electrical items have been used, we have the right to request draw down of the security bond as indicated within the listing.
