Island getaway near farmland, a bird sanctuary, nature walks, & close to beach

Serenity Estate is situated on Comerong Island, just a 2.5 hour drive from Sydney and a quick crossing in your car by ferry to the island. If you are looking for somewhere to relax and unwind, look no further. In the summer you can enjoy a walk to the beach, take a bike ride on our bikes, fish in the lagoon across the road from the property or lounge around by the in-ground swimming pool. When the weather is cooler, cosy up by the fire with a glass of wine while watching the sun go down, and enjoy the peace and quiet. When the skys are clear you can see the lights of galaxies going back millons of years. Being near a nature reserve, you may get lucky and spot the resident swamp wallabies, echidnas and bandicoots, as well as an abundance of native birds. The Estate boasts lagoon glimpses and views of Coolangatta Mountain. It's a short walk to the beach where, more often than not, you’ll have the beach to yourself or take a walk through the bird sanctuary. We have an established vegetable garden, where you can take advantage of seasonal produce. The chooks also lay some pretty tasty eggs. We have two additional family members Lola and Lena the alpacas and Lena has just had a baby boy on 4 May. The apartment is fully self-contained with its own entrance. A fantastic kitchen with all the utensils you need. There is a comfortable queen bed, an ensuit and a laundry with washing machine for longer stays. In the large living room, a smart TV, a sofa bed which is suitable for 2 additional guests, a dining area for four, breakfast bar and wood fire heater.
