Summer 2024 dates now open! This cute 2 bedroom/1 bath historical home with two king beds and convertible twin offers everything you'll need: outdoor patio, indoor dining, full kitchen, fast WiFi, Roku TV w/ streaming channels, ceiling fans, comfy linens, parking w/ EV charger, and big backyard! Walking distance to everything in downtown MB and the waterfront..even our famous Morro Rock! Please ask any questions before booking, and thanks for considering little Morro Bay for your next vacation! Built in 1929, our Morro Bay home is a lath, plaster, and stucco structure that has withstood the test of time. Purchased in 2016 from our dear friend and longtime Morro Bay resident, we've been able to keep almost all of the original building intact while also updating it with some modern necessities, landscaping, and decor. It is our hope that you enjoy and treat our home as if it were your own. A quick note regarding actual home size: it is not big, but it is very functional. We have comfy king beds to accommodate up to 4 (cal kings) in the bedrooms, plus a relatively comfy 1-person twin conversions (better for kid/teen than adult) in the common area. Please know that 5 adults will feel crowded, and groups bigger than five will not be considered. We want you to have the space to enjoy comfortably! Our home and property are smoke and pet free. Absolutely no pets or smoking are allowed on the property during your stay. Morro Bay also has enacted an ordinance with smoke-free sidewalks, so please respect local laws as well. Local and/or AirBnB fines may be incurred for breaches of smoke or pet policies. Thank you kindly for your consideration. All our future guests appreciate your respect of these reasonable rules. As our guests, you have access to every room of the house, all kitchen appliances, cookware, silverware, and coffee fixings, closet space with extra linens, a lovely front patio w/ picnic table, onsite parking w/ EV charger (free 9pm-6am), and a backyard that features charcoal bbq, lots of sun, a little shade, covered workout area w/ TV, and patio seating. If you need anything else, just ask! During your stay, we will be available by phone or text. Keep us as informed as you'd like before, during, and after your stay so that we can provide the best experience possible. Also, please feel free to ask us any questions about dining and leisure activities in the area (or anything, really). We live in Morro Bay and have lots of good insights to provide :) Our downtown neighborhood is great for many reasons, but here are our favorites: Saturday Farmers' Market one block away Morning walks to the Embarcadero for cinnamon rolls Afternoon walks to Morro Rock along the waterfront Evening movies at the Bay Theater three blocks away Kayaking or paddleboarding on a calm, sunny day Self-driving electric boats or golf cars from Nick at Bay Cruisers World-class seafood available at too many restaurants to count Mexican food, Thai food, Italian food, pizza parlor, ice cream, and many coffee shops all w/in three blocks Daytime drives up the coast to Cayucos, Cambria, San Simeon, and Big Sur Sitting out on the comfy patio and enjoying the company of friends and family Morro Bay is a 10-minute drive to Los Osos or Cayucos, 15-minute drive to San Luis Obispo/101, 20-minute drive to Atascadero/101, 25-minute drive to Cambria, and 30-minute drive to San Simeon, Pismo Beach, and the Highway 46 wine corridor in west Paso Robles. Our home is walkable to most major Morro Bay destinations, though you may wish to leave the car at home and catch the $1 Morro Bay Trolley (summers), Bus #12 to San Luis Obispo for the day, or Bus #15 to Cayucos, Cambria, or San Simeon. To get to the bus station, simply walk one block south and three blocks east. For those with cars, Highway 1 access at either Main St or Morro Bay Blvd is about six blocks away. Our vacation rental is one of 175 officially licensed by the City of Morro Bay (make sure you book with a permitted rental, or your stay could get canceled). The payment amount shown on AirBnB includes 14.5% tax (10% Morro Bay transient occupancy tax, 3% TBID, and 1.5% SLO County tourism marketing assessment). Thank you for supporting Central Coast tourism by renting from a licensed short-term vacation rental.
