Basement Apartment *conveniently near Shipshewana*

Come stay in our private-access, BASEMENT apartment, while you visit our town of Shipshewana. Our home sits in the middle of 7 acres of woods. We love it here, and we hope you do too! Our goal, as your hosts, is to provide you with a reasonably priced, cozy space, where you feel like you are visiting a friend, not staying at a high end hotel. Small touches set us apart like laundry and light breakfast/snacks provided for stays that include Sundays (coffee is ALWAYS on at this house) The space Cozy, private, living room and comfy beds. Contact the host for your specific needs as accommodations can easily be made based on your needs. It is a basement apartment and we live above the space with our four children. There will be some noise, but we do try our best to be considerate when we know we have guests. Our house has central heat and air, but it can be difficult to adjust the temperature in the basement with it. But we have solved that problem with infared space heaters in every room, as well as ceiling fans, so that guests can be comfortable. Please turn off heaters/fans when you are not in the apartment. Guest access It is a bit of a walk to get from guest parking to the entrance of the apartment. You are free to cut through the yard, or walk along the driveway/porch for less yard walking (though still some). Please pay careful attention to pictures of the listing as it pertains to distance to the entrance and stairs needed to walk down to access the apartment. Swing set is available for use of kids under direct adult supervision. Other things to note In the middle of Amish Country, we're a close drive to Shipshewana or Middlebury and an easy drive to the 80/90 Toll Road that will take you quickly to South Bend/Mishawaka. We're a 5 minute drive to a petting zoo different than anything you've experienced. Two tasty ice cream stands are within 3 miles in two directions. Both of those attractions, as well as the famous open air Trading Places Flea Market, are seasonal, May-October. We are less than 10 minutes away from the Michiana Event Center, as well as the Blue Gate Performing Arts Center which frequently boasts popular musical performances. There is lots to do and see in this small town!
