Renga Renga Retreat is a fresh, airy and modern cottage, and provides a very relaxing place to stay. This tranquil cottage is surrounded by mature trees and bountiful bird-life, including many Tui and other natives. Situated within close proximity to the ocean, and the Motu Trail, and only a short 5-minute drive to Opotiki, Renga Renga Retreat is the perfect holiday destination. The beautiful private grounds surrounding the cottage are available for guests to enjoy during their stay. The dunes and beach are a short 5 minute stroll down the property’s lovely driveway, and along the public access walkway. Renga Retreat is surrounded by mature Pohutukawa trees, Banksia and Olives, lavish lavender, a small orchard of fruit trees and grapevines, and attracts abundant bird-life. The cottage is named after the lines of Renga Renga lilies that border the driveway into the property which were cultivated by Maori for food in earlier days. The Motu Trail is renowned for cycling and walking, and is just 100 meters away, and the famous sand dunes and expansive beach are just beyond the trail. The cottage has been fully renovated and is fresh and clean, with modern facilities. It features one sunny bedroom with a Queen bed and ensuite bathroom. There is a Double bed located in the spacious Lounge as a lounger for couples or for a bed for extra guests, however PLEASE NOTE, extra guests need to share the ensuite bathroom. The kitchen/dining and lounge area is light and bright and spacious and the kitchen provides a modern gas hob, electric oven, a convection microwave and a huge bench. There is a large deck with sun umbrella to relax with a wine or coffee, and soak up the ambiance of your surrounds. There is also a washing machine to catch up on your holiday washing.
