S.A.M.Y.'s Alpaca Farm & Fiber Studio

Alpaca Farm Experience. The bunkie is quiet, has room for 4 ppl, is heated in the winter, and has AC in the summer. We are an active alpaca farm with over 40 alpacas. Our guests can help us take care of them (feed and water alpacas) and take alpacas for a walk in the evening at no extra cost There is a big fire pit for a bonfire and lots of space to sit around and watch the stars at night. Firewood is provided. The space The bunkie has a winter and summer set-up. In the summer, there is a double bed with full bedding on the main floor, and the loft has a king-size mattress with sleeping bags. We can provide sleeping bags if needed. In the winter, the loft, king-size mattress, has full bedding, and the main floor is changed into a sitting area. The 2 chairs fold out into cots to be used with sleeping bags. The bunkie has a patio with a charcoal and propane BBQ. Charcoal is provided at no extra cost. In front of the bunkie are two small ponds with goldfish and frogs. Behind the bunkie is the alpaca summer pasture, and the barn, with a small visitor area, is about 100 feet away. There are friendly cats roaming the backyard and barn. You will be able to interact with all the animals and get some farm life experience. The washroom with shower is in the farmhouse and, of course, can be accessed all the time. Guest access Guests can use the backyard with the firepit area and access the washroom and shower in the farmhouse. There is a visitor area in the barn that allows observing the alpacas when they are not in the pasture. Other things to note There are two small ponds on the property, and small children need to be watched at all times. We do offer farm visits and alpaca walks as part of our farm business. This means that during the day, there will be other groups (one at a time ) on the property, and we will take alpacas out for walks. The sunset walk is set aside for our Airbnb guests at no extra cost. We can head out for the walk anytime between 4:30 and 30 mins before sunset.
