Comfortable Roomy Historic, Quirky Fun Gnome Home

The Gnome Home was built in 1926 as a mix use commercial and residential property. In the last decade, a slew of artists and architects have lived in the house. Along the way, they affectionately nicknamed it the Gnome Home to articulate the earthy, happy atmosphere and spirits they feel are present in the home. This spacious 2 (optional 3) bedroom apartment is comfortable, unique and still reflects the fun, quirky, loving spirit of the artists. We hope you can visit and experience our home. The space This is a renovated spacious eleven hundred square ft. second floor apartment with beautiful cork flooring. The base rental fee includes 2 bedrooms, the master bedroom with a new Tempurpedic king size mattress and a private bathroom with tiled shower, a 2nd large bedroom with a Tempurpedic queen size mattress and a couch sitting area and a second full bathroom off the hallway with a tub/shower, a comfortable family room with dining table, a balcony overlooking Jefferson Street , a fully furnished kitchen with gas stove, refrigerator/freezer, filtered cold water and a washer and dryer. Ceiling fans are installed in the bedrooms and family room, and original artwork, decor and gnome figures are throughout the house. To keep the costs down for those who only need two bedrooms, the base rate does not include the 3rd bedroom. For an extra charge you can rent the 3rd bedroom. It is the smallest bedroom and has a double size pillow top mattress. The extra fee includes the additional cleaning cost and the room rental rate for the 3rd bedroom. To add the 3rd bedroom charge, you have two choices. You can either (1) put in the Airbnb booking you have 5 or more guests when booking, even if you only have 3 or 4 guests and the 3rd bedroom will be added to your booking automatically. Or (2), you can message us, and we will send you a special quote. Special note: After each guest we thoroughly clean the apartment, including washing all towels and linens. We take the extra effort and go throughout the apartment and disinfect and wipe down surfaces to provide the safest environment possible for our guests. Guest will have access to the two larger bedrooms with the standard published rates. This helps keep your overall costs including the cleaning fees lower if you only need two bedrooms. The charges for the third bedroom and cleaning will automatically be included in the rate if you register 5 or more guests. Otherwise, you need to message us and request a quote for the 3rd bedroom. A code to open the door for the 3rd bedroom will be sent when you check in. Example: If you have 3 guests but still need to use the 3rd bedroom, list that you have 5 guests when booking the Gnome Home, which will automatically add the additional charge for the 3rd bedroom. Other things to note Helpful information for your stay: 9-1-1 is the phone number for emergency services in the city. Savannah is a walking city and our architecture and squares are best enjoyed on foot. Please be safe and remember to only cross streets in designated crosswalks. And, as in most cities, jaywalking is punishable by a fine. Obey all pedestrian signals and signage. Bicycles are a great mode of transportation in Savannah; however, bicycles are prohibited in squares, parks, and sidewalks throughout Savannah. 48-hour parking passes for public parking throughout the city are available from Savannah’s Parking Services Office at 100 East Bryan Street, the Savannah Visitor’s Center at 301 MLK Blvd. The pass provides parking at any meter, with a time limit of one hour or more.
