From the backyard you can fish, kayak/canoe, SUP rental $10, enjoy a bonfire, grill, and relax by the river. There's a new king memory foam bed, sleeper sofa, and 49" TV. Remote work friendly with spacious workspace desk, fast WIFI, and coffee. The closet has a mini food prep area with mini fridge and microwave, and grill out on back patio. It's a quick 15 min drive to Notre Dame. There is a separate exterior door with direct access into your private bedroom and attached bathroom. Guests have access to the bedroom, bathroom, and backyard. There are no shared spaces inside, enjoy your privacy. The rest of the house is off limits to guests. Please note you may hear some noise from the host family with young children that lives in the rest of the house. We are quiet overnight from approximately 10pm to 8am. Feel free to enjoy late night TV watching - our bedrooms are on the opposite side of the house so you won't bother us. Backyard info: Enjoy beautiful views of the Saint Joseph River from the upper level deck and patio. Propane Weber grill to cook on. There's a firepit seating area next to the river with firewood provided. Two kayaks and a canoe are available to use. River access is by floating dock and is a nice fishing spot. There's a wide range of kids toys in the backyard - sandbox, big slide, water table, swings, and various other toys that may rotate. SUP Rental: Inflatable paddle board (SUP) rental is available for $10, May 1 to October 15 when weather and river conditions are suitable. Host will inflate and put away SUP for you. SUP is available when host is home or schedule ahead of time. Use of boats and SUP at your own risk. For safety: wear provided life jacket, only boat during daylight hours, do not boat if under influence of alcohol or other impairment. The closet has a mini-kitchen with mini-fridge and microwave. The mini-fridge has a freezer space. The sofa bed is a convertible type sofa. The base of the sofa bed pulls out to become a recliner / lounger. The back then can be folded down for sleeping. The LG 49” TV has antenna for local channels and is connected to WiFi. Login to your streaming accounts on the FireStick to watch your favorite shows. You'll be provided a code for the smart lock to come and go during your stay. There is direct access to the guest suite bedroom and attached bathroom through your own exterior entrance. Please understand we may be noisy at times. Our bedrooms are on the opposite side of the house as the guest suite which helps with noise overnight. There is no shared space inside the house. We'd be happy to meet you outside and are available through messages. This a safe, scenic, family-friendly neighborhood. Enjoy the river views from the backyard. There is a table and chairs and grill setup you can use while you enjoy the backyard. We see many fishing boats on the river from our house. Mishawaka has great parks including one of the premier city parks only a few minute walk from the house. It is about a 15 minute drive to Notre Dame. We have great walking / jogging route from the house: The sidewalk through the neighborhood is part of the suggested path of the IN-MI River Valley Trail. A few blocks east is Monkey Island, a fishing spot next to a golf course. Walking west through the neighborhood along the river you'll find Merrifield park with a wide Riverwalk.
