Great for WCU families! Three 3-bedroom mountain home is nestled in the woods with mountain views, 7 mins from WCU and the Tuckaseegee River. Cook a homemade meal for your student. Bring their pet they miss. Play! Fly fish in the Tuckaseegee River-one of the best in North Carolina. Enjoy a moderate hike behind the house (to the fork in the road,) Drive 20 mins to the ‘Four Remote Gems’ lakes of the East Fork of the River and paddle board. The closest lakes are Cedar Cliff & Bear Lake. The space The House- We are a local family and strive to provide our guests with the best experience to rest and restore. We rebuilt everything in the house using our fallen Walnut trees, Mtn. Laurel, and a passion for creating comfortable spaces. The primary bedroom has a king bed and an adjacent bathroom with a garden tub and tile shower. Another bedroom includes a queen bed and the other has a full bed. The other bathroom has a tile shower. The kitchen includes all new appliances, plenty of space, and a washer/dryer. Enjoy the view as you drink your coffee from the built-in bar. A large family room includes plenty of space to relax and watch your favorite shows on the Smart TV. Read a book on the deck while listening to the birds. Catch a glimpse of our neighboring hawk family as you sit around the fire pit. Walk to our flower garden or hike the trails around the beautiful woods. Well- behaved Pets considered with a fee of $40, $10 for each pet thereafter. You can send money through the app or leave cash at the house. Adventures- Take paddleboards or canoes and enjoy the lakes and rivers. There are several rafting adventures available 20 mins away. The Cherokee Qualla Boundary is 23 miles away and offers a rich cultural experience where the roots of the Native Americans run deep and whose ancient wisdom is fascinating to uncover. Asheville is an hour away and Cashiers/Highlands just 30 minutes from the house. Check out our Guidebook. Pulling a trailer? message me and I’ll give you directions on where to pull in. Guest access Enjoy the Entire house, deck, fire pit and yard. You are welcome to take a walk around our property below the house to enjoy the garden, check out the beehives (from the blue chairs set out,) and the beautiful woods behind the house. Other things to note GPS not reliable! Follow the written directions from the reservation. We live in the rural Appalachian Mountains with Lots of forests. If you do not feel comfortable driving at night and you are not used to traveling mountain roads we recommend you find the house during the daylight before you enjoy the evening out.
