An old country house redesigned into a modern and stylish cottage while preserving the charm of the old stones. Completely renovated, it will be opening in 2018, accommodating 6 guests in 3 double bedrooms each with a shower and a sink. There is a sofa bed on the patio. Located in the heart of the Cèze valley and its charming surrounding villages like La Roque sur Cèze, Goudargues, Cornillon and Aiguèze and nearby, the cities of Uzès, Avignon, Nîmes, Arles, and, further, the sea. The space The main facade overlooks the village church place where the pétanque matches take place under the large plane trees. The two overlapping terraces are perfect spot to have lunch in the shade of the Virginia creeper or to sunbathe. The roof terrace on the first floor is made to host your aperitifs, and the sun loungers are here to satisfy your sunbathe and farniente desires. The house has been totally renovated end 2018 and we continue to keep it impeccable, furniture included. WiFi is included. The entrance is on the first shaded terrace, serving the kitchen and the living room through two separate doors. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, a convection oven and a microwave, a dishwasher and of course a fridge/freezer, a Nespresso machine, a coffee maker and a kettle. A barbecue is also at your disposal. The living room with access to the terrace is next door. It offers a wood-burning stove and TV. On request, we can provide you with a high chair and a bed with bars for babies. On the same floor, there is room 1 (14m2) with a double bed (140), a shower and a sink, which overlooks an old Provencal farmhouse with its courtyard and vaulted cellars. The toilets are in the laundry room on this floor, right next to the room where a washing machine is at your disposal. On the first floor, there is a first bedroom (20m2) with a double bed (160), a shower and a sink with access to the terrace overlooking the church and the countryside. The patio gives access to the roof terrace of 15m2 with a 360° view and high walls isolating you from outside view. The sofa bed (140) is used during the day as a sofa to watch TV or read and as a bed at night. The 3rd bedroom (14m2) is situated above the ground floor with also a shower and sink. It is equipped with 2 single beds (80) which can be assembled if necessary. It overlooks the Provencal farmhouse and its vaulted cellars. Linen is provided and for additional sets, we apply an extra cost of 5€/person (sheets and towels). Housekeeping is extra and mandatory at a fixed cost of 120€. At street level, under the house, you will enjoy a locked garage in which you can park your motorbike, bikes, scooters, canoes, paddle etc as it is very deep (but not high enough for a car). The parking space under the house does not belong to the house. In case someone else parks there, you'll need to look for another spot in the village. The house is located 2 km from la roque sur Cèze and its magnificent waterfalls, 5km from Goudargues, 4 km from Cornillon and 15km from Aiguèze, 3 villages classified among the most beautiful villages in France. The market of Uzès is 30km away by the small odorous and colorful roads. Bagnols sur Cèze is 9km away. Avignon at 40km, Nîmes at 70km and why not a day at the beach (avoid Friday)? The Grau du Roi is only 1h15 from Saint Laurent. Guest access The entire house is dedicated to the cottage, you have total access, garage included. The garage can handle motorcycles or a small car, no SUV at all. Other things to note You will find all the details about the region and surroundings at the tourist office of Goudargues. The discovery of the Chauvet cave, the Aven d'Orgnac, the Aven Forest Cave, the canoe trip on the Cèze or the Ardèche river, the Pont du Gard, the cellar tours are some of the activities that will be explained on site.
