Venice Beach Cottage

Vintage cottage on historic walk-street - SUPER quiet- four houses from boardwalk & beach, half way between Venice and Santa Monica Piers - walk, bus and subway everywhere. Comfy beds, one & half baths (with bidets, tub with jets), kitchen, & garden patio. I live upstairs and enter and exit through laundry room. Extra $10/day garage parking. Solo, couples, families with children over age six, & business travelers. Contact host for Additional savings for stays longer than 60 days. The space The cottage has hardwood floors throughout. Original art hangs in every room. The adjacent lot is filled with trees, flowering shrubs and flowers of all colors. During the day you will hear birdsong, at night the ocean waves. Since the cottage faces a walk street, there are no cars allowed in front of the house. Cars are allowed only on the alley behind the cottage. Really an unusual and private get-a-way at the beach. Guest access The front gate opens into a beautiful patio garden, with space to lounge and enjoy nature. The back entrance is into a laundry area. This back entrance is also used by the owner to access her upstairs apartment. There is no parking at the cottage for guests. Free street parking IS available, but difficult to find. Overnight parking is especially difficult to find. However, I understand that some guests want to have a car (L.A. IS a car city after all). Therefore I have worked a deal out with the underground garage one block from the cottage. The charge will be $10/day. Let me know if you need this service so it can be arranged - no problem. Other things to note I take advantage of many of the cultural offerings of Los Angeles. Therefore I can help you easily use public transportation to get to the Pantages, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the downtown Music Center (including the LA Opera) and in the summer The Hollywood Bowl. I do this all the time!! Also I have favorite activities that my grandchildren love that I can suggest.
