This charming beach house is located on Little Gasparilla Island, a bridge-less barrier island. No stores, no restaurants, no bars, and no cars! It is the perfect place to relax and unplug! The space Watch the beautiful island sunsets on the observation deck, grill and dine on the open air porch, or lounge in the hammock on the screened porch! It is just a few steps away from the beach. The only thing separating the cozy Florida heart pine interior from the ocean breezes are two sets of sliding doors, which lead out to a screened porch and sun deck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The open floor concept with high ceilings give the home a very spacious and welcoming feel. This house is located on Little Gasparilla Island, which is a bridge less barrier island that is only accessible by boat. You will need to make an appointment with the water taxi, rent a boat, or bring your own boat. You can not drive your car to the island - there isn't a bridge or ferry. Bringing your own boat? The house has access to a community dock that is perfect for fishing or watching the beautiful sunrise over the Boca Grande Causeway. The dock has a 22ft. maximum and allows 1 boat per household. Boat pass is required and will be provided with rental. For the water taxi, you’ll park your car at Eldred’s Marina and load your luggage on the water taxi there. The water taxi is $30 for up to 2 people, one way. Each additional person is $15, one way. The water taxi is by appointment only and its hours are 8:30-5:00. You can book appointments outside the normal hours of operation, but the cost is higher and varies based on the time. The dock is about a ¼ mile walk or golf cart ride to the house. There are not any grocery stores or restaurants on the island, but there is a grocery delivery service. Accommodates: 4 guests maximum. No exceptions. Beds: 2 kings or 1 king and 2 twins. Bathrooms: walk-in showers in both. Newly renovated. Amenities include: Wi-fi, Air-conditioning, Charcoal BBQ grill, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, drip coffeemaker, dishes/utensils, satellite TV, DVD player, and a large variety of books. Community dock with electricity and water. Extras: Outside Shower, beach towels, beach chairs, and beach umbrellas. No Smoking. Pet policy: $100 per dog. No cats. Breed restrictions apply. Please state the dog breed when inquiring. Holidays rates applies to Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's, and New Year's Eve. Other things to note You must make an appointment with the water taxi, rent a boat, or bring your own boat. You can not drive to the island or bring your car. Your car will be parked at a marina, where you will either get on a water taxi or on a personal/ rented boat.
