Description

Welcome to the heart of Tuscany! Maniero del Brunelleschi-Medieval Apartments Resort offers spectacular apartments with exclusive pool in the picturesque Tuscan village of Vicopisano between Pisa, Florence and Lucca. The apartment "Il Fienile" will win you over its sensational location: an ancient medieval barn finely restored with the highest standards of comfort and typical Tuscan details: ancient agricultural utensils, wooden stairs, terracotta floors and wrought iron lights. Sensational! The space Ready to spend an unforgettable vacation in the heart of Tuscany? MANIERO DEL BRUNELLESCHI - Medieval Apartments Resort is waiting for you! You can live the unique experience of staying in an authentic medieval fort finely restored where Tuscan charm and modern comforts merge in 5 different thematic apartments with exclusive pool at the service of the Resort units. The Resort is located within the medieval village of Vicopisano, a Tuscan jewel where the genius of Florentine architect Filippo Brunelleschi has built the Rocca del Castello that dominates the picturesque village. Apartment Il Fienile Il Fienile owes its name to its historic function, that of being in everything and throughout the ancient barn of the Maniero for the drying and storage of the forage. The restoration of the property has left the division into two levels intact as it was in the medieval period: on the ground floor we find a kitchen, dining area and living room with a historic collection of copper objects where there is a large and bright arch window made of cypress that overlooks the Tuscan garden. Upstairs, used today as the two-bedroom, two-bath, two-bedroom, two-bath, old wooden balcony typical of Tuscan barns is clearly visible from which the hay was descended with a wooden staircase. Today the old rural wooden staircase has been replaced by an original stone and solid wood staircase, and the ancient utensils stand out on the ceiling. The apartment is very bright given the different windows that had the ancient function of ventilating the barn to dry the fodder: the large and bright open space on the ground floor offers a kitchen and living room while on the first floor we find a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and double room with bunk bed and bathroom. The Tuscan masonry kitchen, with ancient mezzanines in Impruneta terracotta, literally rests on the stone walls of the Vicopisano fortification creating an evocative and unique environment. The kitchen consists of grilled sink, large counter top and induction stove: the refrigerator and dishwasher are located in the wooden recesses of the kitchen itself where you will also find pots, microwave, kettle, toaster and everything you need to prepare a beautiful Tuscan dinner! The rustic Tuscan table in solid wood embellishes the dining area featuring an ancient collection of copper objects and wrought iron chandeliers that illuminate the restored ceiling with Tuscan fir beams and beams. The Chicken, or the Stay, was in the Middle Ages the space on the ground floor of the Barn where the chickens and chickens were kept. Today the living room is separated from the kitchen by a beautiful stone arch that makes the large open space particularly bright: we find the TV area and the large and comfortable leather sofa that can be transformed comfortably into a sofa bed to take advantage of the maximum capacity of 6 people in the apartment. Room of the Guardian with en-suite bathroom: the en-suite bathroom double bedroom is located on the first floor and offers an ancient and comfortable Tuscan bed of great charm. Cabinet and dresser in rustic wood decorate the room in style, which is illuminated by characteristic medieval lights. At the service of the room is the master bathroom made with the original majolicas of the Impruneta and characterized by a large shower, toilet, bidet and the original sink made of stone, set in an olive table above an ancient dacucire machine. Camera degli Arnesi: Once a storage room, today is the second camerache offers a bunk bed with two big size single beds (195cmx85cm) to accommodate both adults and teenagers/children. The bed is entirely made of Tuscan wood: it impresses the detail of the security shore made in true medieval style. Bathroom: The second bathroom is made with the original majolicas of the Impruneta and is characterized by a large shower, toilet and the original sink made of stone, set in an olive table above an ancient sewing machine. The bathroom is at the service of both the double room and the living area. Each apartment also enjoys modern comforts such as Wi-Fi and Air Conditioning, air conditioning, induction stovetops, satellite and cable TV, ancient porcelain electrical outlets with rotary switches, fully equipped kitchens with refrigerator and dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board, bed and bath linen, laundry service upon request, poolside umbrella station with pool towels included. All properties of the Maniero del Brunelleschi – Medieval Apartments Resort have access to the spectacular private pool of the property with dedicated umbrella station with deck chairs/sun loungers, tech power and outdoor Wi-Fi. The common area of the Oven is at the service of all guests. Il Forno Each Maniero apartment can enjoy the historic Oven, common and passing environment for all guests to access the exclusive pool, garden and interior loggia. The Forno is a one-of-a-kind environment that we strongly wanted to maintain in its original form: in the Middle Ages the real oven, which still measures 3 meters by 3 meters, was at the service of the entire village for the production of bread. Today we wanted to pay homage to them by making it the environment reserved for our Tuscan Cooking Courses, not to mention poolside aperitifs, wine&food tastings and weekly themed dinners. The Forno is finely decorated on the ceiling with the typical harnesses of our country's rural history: imagine learning in this fantastic location how to make fresh handmade pasta, Tuscan sweets and cookies, bruschetta and much more! Adjacent to the main room of the oven is another service room – called the Castro del Poriale: once there were pigs who also had the opportunity to go out in a fenced outdoor space that today is our corner aperitifs by the pool. In the Castro you will find a large fridge in service during your pool time to make you enjoy fresh drinks directly on site, as well as a large freezer divided into departments for each apartment that you can use if you need it. The Tuscan Stone Pool Incredible, it is the only adjective that we think can describe the environment we have created for you: the large private pool, made of stone from our Pisan Mountains and surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the medieval walls of Vicopisano. Guests of the Maniero del Brunelleschi - Medieval Apartments Resort will be able to boast of having, upon return from daily excursions, the possibility of swimming in the pool in a unique context such as that of a typical Tuscan medieval village. Details and style are not even missing in the outdoor spaces of the Maniero: copper shower and the recreated foot sink with an ancient capital and a stone grinder for the entrance to the pool. Each apartment will be able to enjoy around the pool area its own umbrella station, with charging for electronic devices and outdoor Wi-Fi, as well as a relaxation area under the porch: aperitifs and dinners by the pool, musical evenings and everything that will make your holiday unforgettable! The Medieval Court and the Tuscan Garden The great main courtyard of the Maniero has been restored with the same material of the time, namely the famous Impruneta terracotta. Protected by ancient columns and the centuries-old medieval wrought iron chain, the Court embellishes the Maniero facade with character and unmistakable medieval style thanks to the medieval coats of arms that still reflect the ancient power of the then fort. The Tuscan Garden is home to a large centuries-old olive tree of indomitable beauty under which you will find the pleasure of a break on the large stone benches of the Pisan Mountains. The magic continues even in the evening when the Corte del Maniero lights up with its lighting on the medieval walls of the property: a postcard image.. unforgettable!
