We have built a beautiful, eclectic, comfortable home to live and for you to visit! Italian inspired plaster walls, quality recycled materials used to build and decorate. We add extra touches to help you feel right at home. Front porch to relax after a long day of outdoor activities The space We built our home from the ground up and take great pride knowing it is one of a kind. We've used recycled materials and paid great attention to originality and detail. We enjoyed collecting and decorating our home with original art pieces. We have 2 non-allergenic dogs in our home; however your room is always off-limits to them. Your room has its own private entrance to our home (we always use the back door). We promise the futon (large double / slightly smaller queen) is as comfortable as any other bed we've slept on. Your room has a 1/2 bath; however you have use of the downstairs shower in full bathroom (through the kitchen- left at music center) ** Please be mindful of water conservation - California is still experiencing a multi-year draught. Limiting showers to 5 minutes is needed. Guest access **Your entrance to our home is via the front door -( we use the back door) It is imperative that you LOCK the front door whenever arriving and departing- Whether we are home or not. Use of microwave and top shelf of fridge available for you. There is a front porch where you are welcome to sit. Street parking only Please do not park in our driveway - unless we have worked out a plan to share the space. During your stay We travel often and use Airbnb throughout the country and across the world. We know what’s it like to stay in someone’s home! We enjoy meeting new people and sharing experiences, that’s why we’ve opened our home to guests from all over the world! We love meeting people from all over the globe and meeting folks from all walk of life. We enjoy giving suggestions about restaurants, best mountain bike trails, most secluded beaches, navigating the area easily, and best places to visit in California. We are happy to assist anytime! Keith speaks German and Dutch. If you would rather come and go with little interaction, we will of course respect your privacy. You MUST enjoy 4 legged creatures! We have 2 non- allergenic ‘mutt-doodles’ named Murphy and Jr. who are as much a part of the family as we are! Other things to note ** Proof of Vax is required. Please be prepared to show card at arrival **We require a real photo for your profile- so we can identify you when you arrive. Please do not use a drawing, cartoon or a photo that obstructs your face. ** Recently a number of guests have left the front door unlocked! PLEASE be sure you lock it whenever you arrive and depart (whether we are home or not) Our family only uses the back door. *** Due to the terrible 7 years of Draught conditions in California: PLEASE LIMIT your showers to 5 minutes. Santa Cruz county has put restrictions on water use. * Please be sure that traveling companion is aware of all of the above.
