Beautiful Character Filled House With Great Views

1960's Mairangi Bay home. Fully furnished with a well-equipped kitchen, open-plan living, large sunny deck. On a large sloping section with fruit trees and gardens. It is a quiet, comfortable and sunny family home, close to major routes bus stops beaches and shopping centres. To the North are major shopping outlets, hot-pools, horse-riding, outdoor pursuits, idyllic beaches. We are close to the golf course, gyms and both city and rural life. This is a beautiful home with rimu floorboards and panelling, large french-doors and great indoor-outdoor flow. It has a lived-in quality rather than a bland blemish-free hotel environment. House is owner-occupied for most of the year so will have personal effects in each room. The house has a granny flat below, where a grandma lives. She has separate entrances and lives quite independently, but you will be able to hear her TV from time to time in the evening. Bella the cat is used to having the run of the house and she may wander in, even though she will be being fed by granny, or another family. The house retains its 1960s flavour. The kitchen is original 60s, there are no heat pumps or air-conditioning but it is a sunny cosy house during the day both summer and winter. In July you will be best served by the wood burner and heaters in the bedrooms. We will clear away some ornaments and empty drawers for any tenants, however, there will still be many of our own belongings around that we would expect to be treated with tender care and respect. We have a table-tennis table in the carport and a BBQ on the deck. The neighbours are friendly, the area is very safe. Special conditions: We like shoes to be removed in the house and all meals to be consumed in the dining room or the deck, not the bedrooms.
