Our suite has a big window over looking the garden and heated floors throughout, in a great neighbourhood! We wouldn't want to live anywhere else! Come stay with us and see for yourself. The space We love meeting people from all over the world, as well as traveling ourselves. We are located on a quiet street with beautiful heritage homes all around. It is a completely separate, private, whole self contained suite / apt. There are wonderful heated floors throughout, and it's surrounded by a lush garden. The living Room has a large window making it very bright with a big kitchen, and new appliances, comfy queen bed, a small condo sofa, but it's (not a sofa bed, or used for sleeping) The suite is really for 2 people tops (couples are great) The bedroom has a Queen bed and is just off the living room through the large French pocket doors. It's cozy with the heated floors and comes with linens, a full closet, umbrellas, iron & ironing board. The neighbourhood: We are a 5 min. walk to the new upcoming East Village or Hastings Sunrise area, also on a bigger scale called Grandview Woodlands. People come from all over to go to Donald's Market which is only a 5 min walk away and has the best produce, and other regular & organic / gluten free, and also has some yummy take out food. The Pallet Coffee roasters is just two blocks away and has awesome coffee and snacks. The Brighton is our local pub and we are very close to the Brewery District, home to Canadian Brewing Award winning Powell Street Craft Brewery and Parallel 49, and we even have a Growler for you to use in the suite:) The Red Wagon Cafe is right by Donald's and has become a real hotspot for breakfast. Bosa Italian Foods Delicatessen is a block away and they have coffee, and fresh food and salads made, eggs, milk, breads, European specialties like cheese, meats, bread, pasta, sauces, olives and other delicious deli items. They will even make fresh sandwiches for you. The PNE is a 10-15 min. walk away and is Vancouver's amusement park. It has rides, food and concerts most of the Summer, and also has some beautiful ponds and walking trails. Templeton School is just around the corner and has a gym, pool, hot tub, outdoor track & tennis courts. Trout Lake a also a very nice park with walking trails, community centre and Farmers market every Saturday from May to Sept. and is about a 20 min. walk. It's a 5 min walk to Commercial Drive. The Drive is an eclectic, vibrant, and diverse mix of People and cultures. There you will find food, pubs, shopping, theatres, Gelato shops, and deli's. The best coffee shops in Vancouver started by old Italian families, on Commercial Drive, like, Continental Coffee, Calabria, and a bunch of others. There is a new one close to the Suite called Flavio on Hastings which is really good. We are 2 blocks from transit bus lines 16, 14 and 135 which will have you downtown in ten minutes to 15 mins. or to connect with the Skytrain stations. There is a direct connection to the airport from Waterfront Station. We are also close to the Iron workers Memorial Bridge (or 2nd narrows) for access to the North Shore and it's majestic mountains. Also we are not too far from the freeway entrance that leads to the outskirts of the city. We are 25 - 30 mins. from the airport (YVR) by car. It's about an hour in total with public transit. There is also a security alarm system in suite to use if you want. Sorry, there is no laundry in the suite, but there is a great little laundromat close by. Sorry, there is no smoking in the suite.
