Located in the heart of Sykesville, Linden, a two bedroom basement suite, welcomes you to relax and rewind! We have designed our space to feel like your home away from home.The kitchenette includes a full refrigerator, microwave, slow cooker, Instapot, and a hot plate for meal prep. An easy stroll to Main Street will give your car a rest as you enjoy dining and shopping, live music from May/Oct and a wonderful Splash Park from May/Sept. Discover our hidden gems! This spacious two bedroom basement apartment with private entrance is designed comfortably for 1-4 guests. Linden is perfect for those coming to the area to visit family and friends but desire to return to their own space for respite and relaxation! When you arrive, you'll find your home away from home! You'll be greeted with an assortment of snacks, continental breakfast items, coffee and teas! WIFI is fast and reliable! The spacious gathering area includes a comfy sofa and a recliner to kick your feet up and enjoy Roku streaming shows as well as Netflix and Disney Plus. The dining area has a hand crafted farm table with two benches and two chairs. Prepare meals in the kitchenette which includes a full size refrigerator, a microwave, 2 burner hot plate, and Kuerig coffee maker. Slow cooker, Instapot, toaster, and tea pot are also available. ** It is important to note that the kitchenette does not include a full range or oven.** After a day exploring Sykesville, hiking in one of our many local parks, visiting with friends and family, or returning from work, have a restful sleep in one of two bedrooms. Bedroom One has a comfortable queen size bed and there is a port-a-crib that can be set up for our younger guests if needed. Bedroom Two has 2 twin beds. Both bedrooms include large closets with plenty of hangers! Guests have actually decided to set up the port a crib in the walk-in closet in the Queen bedroom! There is also an inflatable twin air mattress. The bathroom has a tub and shower. A handbar has been installed for those who need assistance. Linens, towels, soaps, shampoo and conditioner, and blow dryer are all provided. Whether it's Spring, Summer, or Fall, our guests love the outside space!! You have access to our peaceful backyard space with gardens, fruit trees and open areas. Grab a cup of coffee in the morning and greet the day on the private guest deck, watching the variety of birds who flock to our feeders. A gas grill is available but please give us 24 hour notice if you'd like to use it. A fire pit is available for guests’ use upon request. Just let us know ahead of time if and when you'd like a bonfire. We are located on a quiet, safe, dead end lane but you'll be less than 1/2 mile to the town's Main Street! Easy stroll! There is private parking for one or two vehicles in the circular drive in front of the boardwalk which will lead you to the apartment. You'll walk down the boardwalk on to the guest deck. A flight of stairs with sturdy handrail will lead you to the private entrance to the apartment! Guests have access to a small private deck, outside dining table, and outside chairs. There is a gas grill available for guests' use if prearranged. A fire pit is available but guests should prearrange with us if they would like to enjoy a bonfire. We do live on site but respect our guests’ privacy. We can be contacted through Airbnb messaging and usually answer within minutes. Sykesville was voted ‘Best Main Street in America’ in 2020 and 'The Coolest Small Town in America' in 2016! Main St. is a 10 minute stroll from Linden or a 2 minute drive! Main St. welcomes you with restaurants, an ice cream shop, a distillery, unique boutiques, two playgrounds, a skate park, and regular festivals and block parties from April to November! Parks, Parks, and More Parks! If you're into mountain biking, Patapsco State Park is an 8 minute drive from our location. The park has easy and challenging biking trails! There are also hiking trails ranging in difficulty from easy to challenging! The South Branch of the Patapsco River runs through the park! It's a beautiful area for outdoor fun! Piney Run Park is a short 5 minute drive west of town! There is a beautiful lake with boat rentals from April through September! Scenic hiking trails meander through the park in the woods, in meadows, and along the lake! Grab a picnic lunch or dinner and take in this beautiful spot! River Road, an easy 10-15 minute stroll from our place, runs along the South Branch of the Patapsco River and is part of the Patapsco State Park system. Take a walk along the river where you can stop to fish, wade, or just enjoy the beautiful surroundings! On hot summer days, people have been known to simply plop a lounge chair into the shallow icy cold water to cool off! In addition to the wonderful eateries in town, we are a 5 minute drive to many locally owned and chain restaurants. We are also 5 minutes from grocery stores and malls. As stated, this is a basement apartment with one window in the entrance doorway. There is a screen door which can be opened for fresh air weather permitting. The space is designed to comfortably accommodate 1-4 guests with sleeping for an additional 5th guest .WE WILL NOT ACCEPT RESERVATIONS FOR MORE THAN 5 GUESTS. *It is important to note that there is no range or oven available to guests.
