Muhudu Niwasa - Sinhalese for sea house is approximately 1.5 miles from Tangalla in the small village of Medilla, at the southernmost point of Sri Lanka overlooking the Indian Ocean. It is set in its own coconut grove with a gate leading directly on to a beautiful white sandy beach. Bougainvillea, hibiscus and temple flower trees flourish in the garden complete the perfect tropical setting. The house is large and airy with a spacious teak veranda at first floor running the length of the house overlooking the sea. The windows to the rear have spectacular views across the lagoons to the hills in the distance. We have a wonderful host couple who have been with us for 15 years. They prepare the most delicious local dishes and together with the rest of staff will look after your every needs.
