Guest access Secret Hill includes it's own paved private entrance with parking. We have beautiful birds throughout and at any given time, many deer grazing , a bucolic train can be heard in the distance, cows across the road grazing on historic Saratoga battlefields . The Village of Boyce-a 5 minute walk-boasts the renowned international jewelry designer Elizabeth Locke's home store. Elizabeth showcases her gorgeous jewelry by appointment. The Town of Berryville is only 5 miles North , Upperville is 12 miles East and Middleburg with its fine food and offerings is only 10 more minutes East from there. Horse and Wine country in the great outdoors- that is for sure! Other things to note Fabulous local and organic food close by. Excellent restaurants, historical sites, (see below)many local wineries with tours, equestrian events, Historical Villages and more, all close by. The area of Clarke County is known for canoeing and rafting the Shenandoah River, walking the Appalachian Trail and various other mountain trails close by. Many historical destinations with in walking distance- The Burwell-Morgan Mill, also known as the Millwood Mill, is a historic grist mill located at Millwood, Clarke County, Virginia. It was built about 1785 by Gen. Daniel Morgan and Lt. Col. Nathaniel Burwell, who both served in the American Revolution. Blandy Experimental Farm Historic District which is a national historic district located adjacent to The Tuleyries at Boyce, Clarke County, Virginia. Long Branch,Long Branch is a historic family seat in Millwood, Virginia built in the early 19th century; named after the creek that runs through the property. Built on approximately 1000 acres (currently 400 acres) by Robert Carter Burwell in 1811 and owned by the Burwell-Nelson family until 1957. The property was placed on the National Register on October 1, 1969. Many events take place at Long Branch . Historic villages of Boyce, Millwood, Berryville, Winchester all with in minutes of the farm. If you are interested in a wine country tour we can easily arrange for a driver to pick you up at your door and take you to the wineries and back, with advance notice-or we will happily provide with the information you will need to do so. As for fox hunting , the Blue Ridge Hunt, is said to be the oldest foxhunt in the nation.
